use exacto to cut stencil into paper
flip over and trace on wood
use wood burning tool on trace
Stain wood
melt wax on what you want to seal
dip stamp in oil
stamp on wax
Wouldn’t have been much simpler to draw directly on the wood with the pencil rather than perform an impossible surgery, which only serves to finally draw on the wood?
Ooooooo. I know what I’m doing this Christmas.
leave a post on instructables damnit!
it’s pictorial.

My only question was what it was dipped in. Oil? Awesome.
Oil, to prevent the wax from sticking in the wood I think
ummm, wow…you made a relief stamp
Not kludgey enough.
I have to laugh at the thereyoufixedit.com title at the bottom of a step-by-step for making a wax seal of the Design*Sponge logo!
Actually glad to see this.
Beautiful and sooo retro. I love it.

my only guess is that it makes it easier to reverse instead of drawing a mirror image.
Shawped!
“There, I affixed it!”
