I see that and I think “condensation.”
These are dummy pipes though, each picture shows different ways to arrange them.
I see this and think “boy, I can finally put half inch diameter notches on the bottom of all my books, which is fine because I mostly buy books as fashion accessories”.
use a rubberized pipe if such things exist.
If I were doing this myself I’d test it out with a raft of utility books (reader’s digest, etc.) that I wouldn’t mind getting a little wear.
I like shelves and this one’s cool–

I only see one place where this is attached to the wall, actually…
Gas pipe is vintage looking? Mostly, it looks like gas piping to me.
I guess it’s “vintage looking” if you buy it at little boutique stores like Ye Olde Home Depot and Ye Olde Lowes
1. Buy pipes at hardware store
2. screw together in various arrangements
3. Sell online at inflated cost
4. PROFIT
Whoah…a real 3rd step??!?!
The shipping costs are about how much they cost to make I bet… maybe even more!
Reeks of hipster
Especially “Mao”.
Let’s change society by hoping a bunch of peasants with guns will save us. :/
This is not a good way to store your books.
Bad hipster.
