But we can discuss about childhood obesity.

I’ve seen ones like this before, swinging the kids around in the backhoe bucket, and/or collapsing the pool wall and making a Tidal Wave. Just don’t know if this one ended badly or not.
The Original Poster of the video REALLY should have thought about whether he wanted word to get back to his Boss – or his Insurance Company if he’s the Boss – before he put the video up marked “Public” in the first place.
The green color of the water means there’s stuff growing in it, so it MUST be healthy.
This is only a “WIN” until somebody’s hand / wrist / elbow etc. gets caught in the shovel-joint or the hydraulic-cylinders… After that it becomes an “Epic FAIL” as I was able to attest to on two occasions during my residency in an E.R.
Fringers torn off and crushed in one case and artery severed in a DOA. Both times people having “fun” riding in an excavator shovel. Review these “WIN” posts for these kind of dangers if you don’t want some redneck to recreate it and then sue you…
I agree, but stupid people will try it once anyway… so I think if you want to stop accidents, you have to stop human stupidity first… and I think stupid people always find out how to cause big and nasty accidents without any videos…

I don’t see how they’re sliding out of the bucket. Usually they have these big bolts on the inside edge..that would tear your butt/back up if you tried sliding on it.

Oh my God!!!! Not to rain on anyone’s parade or spoil the fun lol but as a parent I just about had a heart attack watching this. All I could think-between peeks out of the fingers I had clenched in horror over my face-was somebody’s going to get hurt:-(

We can all scream “Oh look! That guy has a ladder on a porch rail on the tenth floor, and he’s climbing right up it!” or “Ha! Look at that! A cheap pair of knock-off vise-grips for a steering wheel! Oh my God; that’s _hillarious_!”
But this– this is where we draw the line.
Yeah. Not buying it. It was funny as all get out, and smacked of sheer genius. Hundreds of people every year get killed driving down the highway, but we don’t seem to have a huge outpouring of concern about the sheer stupidity of putting something as frail as a human into a tin can and shooting it down the road at sixty miles per hour.
But we’re going to pretend that this is somehow different.
Get over yourselves.
Ah yes the age old daredevil act of driving is now being compared to using an excavation machine as a bathtub toy.
There are safe ways to operate a vehicle and there are also safe ways to operate a backhoe. This is not one of them.
What makes it worse: The operator of the backhoe is well aware of the safety requirements for operating heavy machinery and is also aware that he is putting many innocent lives (including children) at danger. Even worse: these kids have no idea the danger they are in.
It DOES look fun but makes me cringe.
That looks fun as hell!
Seems as much fun as I had with a Hungarian hoe.

So many complainerwhores. These peeps knew playing with a digger in a pool could end badly but it was their choice to do so. If you don’t want to take the risk, don’t do it, but don’t try to ruin everyone’s fun.

If you have a friend with an excavator, ask them to dig a bigger swimming pool. It won’t cost an arm or a leg.
