nope, that’s the most common excavator in brazil, nothing special ’bout it.
Looked like a standard backhoe to me. All articulations match the ones the backhoes we use in Public Works have. He is just an obviously highly skilled operator. I seriously doubt OSHA would approve tho…
Ok, I’m REALLY sure this is not OSHA approved, but the most effective ways to get the job done never are!

That is one talented driver! I have never seen anything like that, pretty impressive. I used to run a road paving machine and a garbage truck, not at the same time, though. But this driver has me beat, hands down!

I am wondering what the offspring of this union will look like.
My question: WHY? I can understand if they needed to load the excavator to move it, but he backed it right off. Did the guy do it to win a bet or something?

excavator can’t do highway speed, so you need to truck.

My uncle does this with his JCB all the time. And he wonders why he’s always blowing hydraulic seals and replacing pistons…

Totally. I highly doubt the arms and hydraulics were designed with the notion of lifting the machine in mind.

That’s nothing. I could have done that when I was 12, if we had a tandem at that time. The railroad does this all the time with machines that have beams bolted under them so that they can set on coal cars.
Another 4 feet of bed, and they could haul it, too.
