Oh man! I never thought of this! Now I can get power windows for my truck on the cheap!
not cheap around here. You’d have to buy new drills and repair the windows all the time if you forgot to hide them.
If he forgets to lock the smaller window in front of the window the drill opens/closes, the thief would not even need to break any glass. It’s unlocked in this picture.
Car content theft etiquette does require breaking a window. The Guild of Thieves is very pointy about usage of proper procedures if you are to keep your license…
They are even more pointy with unlicensed thieves.
Next he needs to add a way to use it from the drivers seat.
while texting/drinking/reading his/her book (just because it’s a powertool doesn’t mean it’s not a girl kludge).

You’re awesome. This episode of Red Green was the first thing I thought about when I saw this.
Yeah, but Red used a cordless mixer.
Seems like a bit of a screwwy idea if you ask me.
Couldn’t find a better use for those drills? They’re not cheap.
Jeez thats a 200$ drill!
It’s starting to rain and the battery’s dead! Dang.
DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!!
power windows…

This
Not expensive enough to qualify for TIFI – you need to drop $250+ on one of the right-angle DeWalt 18V cordless drills, so it doesn’t hit the passenger in the leg. And then drop $100 more on the 12V car charger for the batteries.

Because the windows shoot out?
So this is a older GM style door (70′s?), with a 80′s style mirror and a more modern plastic dash. What truck is this on lol ?
there is no front end visible either.
It’s a drill caddy for the carpenter on the go. Doubles as a truck.
I hope they turn down the torque setting on that sucker – otherwise those windows aren’t going to last too long…
Um, there is a window crank to the right of the drill. So, they can’t be power “windows.” It something else entirely, methinks.
try to rotate that handle in your head, then wonder how you’ll open the door when you get there.
That’s not a window crank; that’s the door handle.
You apparently never had an old Chevy. That bar to the right is the door latch handle. The drill is attached to the window crank stub.
I have ridden in a few old (80s) chevys and they had power windows.
Next kludge: wire that drill into the car battery so that you are not having to charge the battery every week
Officer: “Wait…your dog got decapitated HOW?”
Now he’s really screwed up his window.
