    first!

  2. verde says:

A car so green that is turning into wood.

  3. Sadie says:

    BEAVER WACK!!!!!

  4. DIY King says:

You would never be able to tell that he, only a few hours earlier, had an unfortunate accident with a hearse.

  5. scoutguy says:

Nothing says “green” like cutting down a few trees to modify your car.

  6. Sihaya says:

Young Prius was so happy to live on the Island of Sodor. Every morning Sir Ginger Topham woke him up and stoked his boiler before driving him to the local school. On the campus, all the happy students would salute him with one finger raised. “Poop poop!” went his tailpipe. Prius was sure that he was a Really Useful Car.

  7. Drum says:

Got to say though, that’s a fine piece of woodworking.

  8. geekdude says:

I think it does improve the astethics. not that that is saying much

  9. Church says:

As long as that’s not balsa wood he now has enough mass to make that thing a car!

  10. Blackmoore says:

and in 3 weeks the car had shed it’s metal shell, and started sprouting bushes and trees.

  11. Bob-H says:

It looks like he converted a fender bender repair into a camper shell. Good job seizing the opportunity, but he may have auto inspection problems: limited rear mirror visibility, no rear bumper, rear extension obscures tail light, no light on license plate. Another problem might involve all of those unsealed crevices combined with wind-driven rain.

    • Skot53 says:

Many states o not have inspection programs in place. Some do not even have emissions. This is actually a pretty interesting “fix”, but I’d hate to see the carnage after another rear-end collision.

    • Lizzy says:

Not to mention it’s made out of WOOD. Pretty useless in a crash. Failure to maintain equipment in original condition is a ticketable offense.

  12. scoutguy says:

If he attempts to drive it, it will double nicely as a coffin.

  13. brmbug says:

    Sweet.

  14. MacMarty says:

Well, @Bob-H, maybe he lives in one of the 13 states that have NO auto inspection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_inspection_in_the_United_States

    Sure surprised me!

    • BikerGeek says:

Kinda tough to tell from this angle, but that looks like a Maryland license plate. Maryland requires vehicle safety inspections only when the vehicle is sold. Of course, the police can still pull you over if they see an obvious safety violation.

    • EvilDave says:

Please describe why this is not safe.

    • Bob-H says:

It’s probably the case — he lives in one of those 13 states that don’t have license or emissions test. I was surprised that Minnesota and Kansas were on the list (wasn’t surprised about Arkansas, Oklahoma and the Dakotas).

  15. Joe Btfsplk says:

It’s a prototype for the new “Grand Prius Brougham”.

  16. Looks like a steampunk Prius to me!

  17. TJ says:

That guy worked at my old job. I could not believe it when I walked around the building and there to my surprise was the most glorious wood pimped out Prius the world has ever known. So much for my 15 minutes of fame.

  18. Fugo says:

I thoguht Mark Zuckerberg would be doing more well than this…

  19. H-Block says:

Is it possible to remove that additional trunk when it’s empty?
    Would save some weight.

  20. OOYYO says:

This is mind bogling, I mean it’s like a joke…..;)

  21. Elgwopafied says:

My Prius returns with an upgrade.

  22. postl1terat1 says:

Maybe he joined a country club and was trying to conform by making his car as ugly and innefficient as an SUV. Nice try anyway.

  23. Piku says:

Suddenly paying for a yearly MOT doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. I wonder how much of that wood is structural.

  24. CondoHexa says:

Makes the T-Model look like an Enzo.

  25. Speciālists says:

Its look like modified car :)

  26. George Johnson says:

I like the way the guy is standing next to it, like he’s proud of it or something.

    • mollysmom says:

He’s got every right to be proud! Just look at the care in aligning the molding down the sides. the nicely mitred angles and the incredible level of detail. I’ve been looking for a man like that for many years! Now to find out if he puts the toilet seat back down.

      • Grouchy Ole Broad says:

Probably does. But only after the six coats of varnish have dried on the newly lathed and lovingly sanded seat he made for you to replace that plastic thing you used to use

  27. razor1612 says:

Ginger kids always have to pimp out their vehicles the wrong way :c

  28. Petro Lhead says:

Relax guys. He was just moving house and some of the furniture didn’t fin in properly.

  29. asdfasdf says:

I don’t think the Prius engine can pull that much wood. Maybe he gave it some more torque?

At least it LOOKS better now.

  30. auroravii says:

I want this upgrade for my Suzuki Forenza! Need more trunk space.

  31. lollerskates says:

actually i have seen several cars modded that way, they often do it to save fuel (hypermiling) as hard as that seems to believe, probably the car is still underneath, and de passes inspencition due to that… theres a website about this kind of mods, called ecomodder

(im not saying it doesnt look ugly, though)

  32. Kooky_cookie says:

    not so bad actually…

  33. Toyotaman says:

    Well someone didn’t get insurance :) )

  34. Pankaj says:

Wow that would be as tifreric as that legendary bacon brittle :) I consider you my food fun sherpa- lead on…
