Beer crates would be better.
Actually, those _are_ beer crates (König Pilsener).
Not the worst german beer, by the way.
I think it’s a 2 liter soda crate on end in the middle, though!
These ARE beer crates damnit
German beer – König Pilsener

I read König Pilsner – that’s actually (German) beer.
http://www.koenig.de/produkte/koenigpilsener/
these are beer crates!
cheers
These actually *are* beer crates (at least the orange ones) – König Pilsener from the König Brauerei in Duisburg.
What everybody above has found the need to express ad-nauseum goes for me too!
Those are mostly beer crates, I see at least two König-Pilsener crates.
Goold old German Kiste Bier, good for so many things!
These are beer crates !
They say: König-Pilsener – and thats german beer
Ah, the Ikea däridreemr.
I had the same bed in my first apartment
Me too! I also had an entertainment unit, plenty of shelving, plus a closet built out of milk crates, zip ties, and a broom handle. 75 milk crates in a bachelor apartment = fully functional student furniture, cheaper than Ikea, and more original.
At first those looked like Nuka-Cola crates, but I guess this wastelander has gone with a store-brand soda’s crates. One shoud take more pride in one’s post-apocolyptic scavving.
Those ARE beer crates. König Pilsener is german beer!
Those are german beer crates.
I’ve had several milk crate box springs. Nothing like broke ass college scavenging.
Man, this makes me wish I has pictures of the milk crate bookshelves we had as a kid.
I had one of those! I was 13 years old. But I put the crates sideways to be able to store stuff in them.
my cousin has a cardboard bed…… just to let you know a better fail
That’s what beer crates look like in Germany.
Well hell, they are most definitely doing it wrong. You put the crates sideways so then you can use the insides as storage. Pft.
Was going to say that, but you beat me to it! Ha ha
Ahh, college life. I still have a couple of plastic milk crate book cases.
Those crates are “König Pilsener” beer crates, not milk crates.
I am sorry, aren’t those beer crates? Could someone else chime in to confirm?
ha
Thanks for trying.
Yes I said that as a kid I wanted a waterbed.
Yes I said I had to hide beer under my bed when I wasn’t supposed to be drinking.
No, you didn’t have to combine these for my birthday to make me feel young again… But I appreciate the thought.
You’re talking about a waterbed supported by beer crates, right? Where did the beer go? Filling up the waterbed? Then it would be a beerbed.
Schalten Sie sie seitlich für die Lagerung PBR ist eine bessere brauen.
esos son cajas de cervesa aleman konig. combobreaker?
Now THAT is serious BYB. You know, “Bring you own beer or else you can’t sleep over”.
- Honey, our bed is broken beyond what any phonebook could help. What are we going to do?
- Don’t worry baby. We’ll drink.
- But dear, I’m saying we have no more bed and you talk about drinking again!
- Trust me on this one, sweetheart. Just trust me.
LOL!
This is kind of awesome and I kind of want one. I’d want the crates to all be identical, though.
Nice to see some parents sent a child out into the world crate trained…
Huh. Comments seem to appear a bit late? I’m sure there wasn’t any other comment stating these are beer crates when I made mine, but now there are several with a time stamp way earlier than mine. Telling from the multitude of similar comments, that was the same for the other commenters. – ThereIFixedIt, fix your comments!
I’m pretty sure the bed is an advertisement that no “certain in-bed activities” are taking place in this particular bed. At least those that include a second person.
This must clearly be the guest bed! Of course, it’s only really the guest bed if you don’t like guests…Uncomfortable, and shows them you are a heavy drinker! HAH, see if you’ll be stuck with your mother-in-law ever again!
My bed frame is made of milk crates, cinder blocks, and plywood. On top of that, is what is left of a waterbed platform frame and headboard. When the bed’s made up all nice and neat, you can’t tell that it is cludged together. It is also the sturdiest bed I’ve ever slept on.
Four crates would do right – overkill bro!!!
Got Milk (crates)?
I’ve heard of an egg crate mattress cushion but never a milk crate box spring
Sadly, I actually built one of these 20 years ago. It is now lost to the mists of time.
29 Milk crates and a queen sized futon. I also had the one on the edges turned sideways to provide storage.
It was great, but the crates tended to separate, and it screwed up my back after a while.
Also, sadly, no pics.
He stole my idea. I’ve been sleeping on milk crates for 5 years now.
You stole my idea ;-}
Are yours zip tied together? you’re in for a world of back pain otherwise…
Red Green made one of those in an episode of the Red Green Show
One of my friends had a milk crate bed in the dorm. Worked great!
This makes me really want a beerbed to replace my waterbed. I’m thirsty…
The brand’s slogan is “Heute ein König” (A King today)
bed frames that are based on steel would give you a more durable bed and a bed that last longer ‘.,
