I expect a mole coming out of the top…
Don’t expect me to gravel at your doorstep
He’s got a rocky relationship with visitors.
Okay, quit piling it on.
ok! ok! just don’t make me watch “Rocky” again!
Are you stoned again?
It seems there isn’t anything that gravel can’t do.
This is insanely unsafe! Look, no duct-tape handrails?
It may look like an entrance but it actually the set up for the latest urban craze – gravel gliding.
That’s hilarious ‘ cause that’s in my city, now I have to find this house!! lol!! May take me a while…but it’s gonna be worth it!
38 Holmwood Ave, in the Glebe
LOL that is too funny. FYI the Glebe is a more expensive part of town, granted this in on the edge of the neighborhood.
PS this comment was for the people who do not know what city this is in.
this is perfect for the zombie apocalypse. when zombies approach, get a broom or shovel, clear the gravel away, point and laugh at the stupid zombies. also, daleks
EL-EV-ATE!
Might work for zombies, but Daleks got tired of having their invasion plans foiled by stairs and invented antigravity.
I actually like this. If the steps are supported by a framework underneath the rock pile, they should be perfectly stable. And it is a nice, gentle slope.
Agreed! I love the way it looks and it would help to prevent unwanted visitors, I think. No one’s going to risk it if they’re not positive it’s safe – I sure would haven’t wanted to sell this person girl scout cookies.
I don’t know, I’d rather have either sand with cement mixed in (or other..) for a stable walk way, or clay and soil. Then I’d have the walkway winding through a beautiful lawn, with a barrel spilled over with the flowers seemingly flowing from it, some weeping willows… *fantasizes about landscaping*
The “tipped over container spilling flowers” is pretty, so I understand why people use it.. But, man, it’s overused. At least around me. Anyone who spends some time gardening has one. Barrels, wheelbarrows, pots, anything and everything.
The most creative I’ve seen people get with the idea is a “split stump” instead of a container of some sort.
I like it, too, but if I ever tried to do something similar, my neighbors would stone me. On the other hand, my front steps are in need of repair… hmmm.
I’m wondering how they plan on using the rest of the pile of slate/concrete/paver pieces tucked away on the side of the porch.
If you look carefully, you can see another step on the very left side.
With another load of gravel, he can build a backyard deck. Oh, and he’ll need another pair of flower pots, too.
cyclops garbage can is sad
If the gravel wasn’t loose and was secured to just look like a loose pile by cement or something it would actually be kind of cool.
It’s roof top patio material that got away!
i like that style
Stairs too sloped? hold on while I recompile the gravel.
And look! Extra steps, for when there is a mini rock slide!
Looks great til the really big rain storm. I imagine that it will be a lot flatter after the rain comes.
It simply rocks? Seems to me it rocks a million times more than that!
trespassers will be sunk in rocks !!
Watch your step and beware of the angry garbage can!
