Copy & paste this:

What! this looks perfectly normal to me, I save a dollar for a new pair at the dollar store.
I’m pretty sure a new pair of scissors costs LESS than that O hook!
Yeah, definately,
Scissors= $1.00 at Dollar Store
Eye Bolt= $1.00 at Sears.
Zip ties = $.03 ea. $.09 total.
with variables such as tax/ labor/ opportunity cost….it’s a loser.
Also, I would be DOUBLE CAREFUL not to run with those now!
I’m also pretty sure that those “scissors” are still missing a blade.
No it’s there you can see the double tip. the plastic handle broke and he tie-rapped the hook to the blade stem.
OK Igor, what did you do with that brain?
Igor! Cut that out! Stop screwing around!
Relax. Eye’ll handle it.
1) Not Igor, that was done by Edward.
2) No self-respecting Kludger that owns a welder (arc or gas) would use zip-ties. Chop off the threads and weld the eyebolt to the handle stub.
Those scissors look pretty cheap. not sure they’d survivr the process.
Can’t weld metal to plastic, Duh!
Only the handle (the black part) itself is plastic, there is obviously a piece of metal that extends into the plastic handle (which is what this eyebolt is zip-tied to) DUH!
Zip ties are the epitome of Kludging! The only thing that beats zip ties is gaffer tape!
Sure sure…they look nice. But can you run with them? Come on…can ya, can ya?
Igor needs to hide quickly before the torch-and-pitchfork hordes of screaming leftie extremists burn the place to protest this not-southpaw-friendly kludge.
that’s pronounced “eye”-gor. hence the eyescrew
Like.
Victor was Dr. Frankenstein’s first name. Igor was his assistant.
This is actually more of a pirate thing. Notice the eyelet-patch.
This pair of scissors just wanted to break free from conformity and stand out.
It’s not properly Igor-ized until it includes a third finger hole or a larger handle to accomodate claws and pseudopodia.
Those scissors are screwed-up. This is the kind of thing that happens when you cut corners on your work. Poor Igor just needed to tie down a nice job.
But with these screw-ups he could get cut loose.
I applaud anyone with the ingenuity to take something broken and fix it well enough for use, at least til it can be replaced. We throw away too much and have forgotten how to make do with what ya got.

Favorite comment. Right there.
Anyone else wondering how the zip-ties got trimmed off so neatly? Was it done with *another* pair of scissors?
Edward Scissors-eyebolt-handle
Thith alwayth remindth me of Terry Pratchett, for thome reathon.
Yeth marthter, I have repaired your thithorth.
Wait, if that was the only pair of scissors and they had to be fixed, what’d they cut the ends off the zip ties with?
Say what you will, but at least he doesn’t have a screw loose like some guys I know.
