Just fabulous! I remember doing this to one of the jacks in our deck. I was a clever joe though because I could see through the back of the card, tiny indentations made by the marker. So I at least knew who was holding the King of Clubs. I also stared into my Dad’s glasses to see his hand. Never wear glasses when you play cards. I was a child then. I’d NEVER do that now.

Those cards are from a casino deck, you can tell because they have those holes punched in them. They do that before they give them out so they can’t be used in the casino again.

One of the most impressive prison kludges I ever saw was on a prison-escape episode of Mythbusters, where they toured a California prison museum and the curator showed them a working pistol (he described it as “semi-auto” but it looked like bolt-action to me) made entirely out of plumbing parts by a prisoner.

Being clever, you can hide similar cards or use dry erase cleaner to change the card to fit your hand at the time. I have five aces!!!!!
