Adobe construction. Might as well put up a sign in the front yard that hippies live here.
A sign would be wholly superfluous!
buckets anyone?
It might be a bodge, but it looks effective at least.
My GAWD, if those were returnable, they’d be worth maybe a $1 in Michigan!
Laugh all you like – I once used a half-dozen empty cottage cheese tubs and duct tape to send the bottom of a downspout around the corner and away from the house. Beats bailing!
I’m still going to laugh, if it’s all the same to you.
This would pass for ‘art’ in some places.
“I’m working on *urp* running it *urp* all the way *urp* out to the street.”
I’m pretty sure a light drizzle would be too much for this drain, given all the literal bottlenecks on the way down.
Worst beer bong ever.
The downspout works very well except during heavy rainfalls due to there being several bottlenecks in the design.
I second Dogmeat’s observation, the bottlenecks left in the bottles will render a HUGE overflow at the top of the gutter spout and sheets of water falling out of the gutter, not the down spout. Sorry, clever idea, lousy kludge.
Swing and a miss in the game of “let’s spot the pun.”
I can now clearly see that the term “Return Of Investment” hasn’t reached everyone.
Buying 25 bottles of sodas with the urge to take a piss every 5 minutes for the next 2 weeks can’t be considered profitable when the next forecast of rain is due to april 2014.
it can, if there’s no upstairs bathroom.
Supply and demand, right there.
Due to recent cutbacks, the Internet is now a series of cut-up 20-oz Mr. Pibb bottles.
This has got to be the best rainfall gauge ever. Now all you have to do is get it away from the house, and it’ll be accurate.
Local recycling program has fizzled out.
