What?… Haven’t you guys ever seen Tetris before…
Not one that plays horizontal.
Well, you have now!

Anyone know where this is/what building it is? I can’t believe anyone ever approved the design – and then executed it. I’d love to know more of the story behind it…
Rue de Suzon, Dijon, France (check Google map!)
It ‘s an administrative building (-_-)
Okay, i think it’s great architecture, but then: what does the Teardrop mean?
Is it because of the mustard? (that would be an answer i’d understand;-)
However, it seems to be perfectly integrated into the architecure of its surrounding, as long as it stays as a single point there!
Well, it could have been shingles.
Looks like Jr. Ewing only owns half of the building.
Howard Roark would have a stroke.
No, he’d just have this mess demolished before it opened.
On the contrary. If the architect designed his building this way, and someone paid for it without asking that the design be modified in some way to compromise what the architect wanted, Howard Roark would approve.
Doesn’t look like a kludge to me. I think it was just an architect going for the artsy bit.
Agree. Not a kludge.
His design may have been artsy but I can see right through it.
People who live in stone houses shouldn’t tape plate glass over it piece by piece. It’ll just confuse the hell out of everyone.
Perhaps that’s the idea?
I’d love to find out how many birds get confused by this building.
The main question about that glass is whether it’s half empty or half full.
One thing is for certain. This whole building looks like it was just a half-glassed effort.
People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw puns.
Rise of Legends anyone?
Consult a doctor if infection causes excessive pane.
The sad thing is that although it looks like a kludge, it isn’t a kludge. Some architect was paid a cool million to very carefully and — this is the incredible bit — deliberately design something that looks like a half-completed jigsaw puzzle with the rest filled in with glass. He probably won prizes for his “bold design combining the elegance of the Georgian period with the stark simplicity of the 20th century, inviting the spectator to consider who we are and where we come from”, or some such rubbish. Possibly the word “synergy” found its way into the judges’ remarks.
IRL Medusa Bomb FTW
It’s not a kludge, and strike me down, but I really like it. It’s a very interesting building to look at.
First I thought, “Interesting concept; I kinda like it”.
Then I thought, “Nah”.
Now I’m waffling back and forth between the two.
I think I must agree with you that it’s an interesting building to look at because I keep going back and looking!
I really like it too. Apparently, we are in the minority.
I like it too. Interesting buildings improve the urban landscape, even if a particular building is not to your taste. Not a Kludge. Art is subjective.
Thats the biggest Rubiks cube I’ve seen yet… too bad they had to cheat to complete it.
Oh No! The glass infection took over the windows already!
Well could this infection at least have come blinds so they cant see us from outside
I don’t get why they did the area at the top, where the glass meets the remaining facade, that way. The roofline is uneven and it looks like they changed the depth of that side. And what is with the thing sticking out from the building to our left, about mid-building? Diving board for those who paid some guy big bucks to design the ugly thing?
But the concrete epidemic is a fearsome foe!
Here we see the common *glassus windowus*. It is now currently dominating the building design kingdom and is commonly used to deter sound whilst letting in light. It started off as simple holus innus wallus’s when they did not possess the magical sound deterring effect. They become their current form a while ago around the 700s when a German man walked into a wall.
Post-Bauhaus meets Roccoco. The architectural equivalent of John Cage plays Bach. And equally as pleasing to the senses.
Isn’t this just footage of the REAL version of that “Pixel Invasion” video?
Another 2,000 gallons of windex and we should be able to see out of ALL the windows….
I recently saw the spread of the glass facade disease on “The Worst Building in the World”

The teardrop was the balcony rail.
The Magritte school of architecture, I like it.
Good news for Bill Gates . . . Windows is taking over everything . . .
