Or perhaps this is a futile attempt to absorb all the mindless rantings of morning show hosts. – Ms. Fix-It

The perfect device for playing all your Wet Wet Wet albums.
diy antishock… like it
A man committed suicide yesterday after he discovered his vehicle could not run Crysis.
The question is what he’s going to wash his car with now… and how good his cassette tape player works in his computer…
That’s one way to make sure your discs never skip.
wow not even a radio it’s a pc disk drive with the speakers hooked to the headphone jack… win
well done. built in shock absorption is a plus.
Computers with anti-skip… With laptops and all, I wouldn’t be surprised to see one installed in a car in the next 10 years…
Of course the other kludge is the fact that CD ROM from computer is used
Please insert boot CD to start the car.
Can’t do! You first need to install a driver!
Hahaha! No driver makes for a hard drive.
Then you need to try your card on that bus.
At least the bus still has Windows.
Until it crashes
Can’t install new driver, please check you have the proper license.
Your software is not genuine. Please insert credit card to purchase A valid license.
Your anti-virus alert: Warning, Site Certificate Not Valid. You’ve just been hijacked. Have a good day.
Turn it down! My ears are wringing!
I really wanna know how that would work
You know, if this guy swapped the drive for a DVD-ROM and hooked up with the microfilm TV kludger from above, we could have ourselves some serious in-car entertainment.
Already been done before : http://thereifixedit.com/2009/10/23/what-it-said-cd-on-it/
That was my post of my uncle kludge!
That one doesn’t have anti-skip.
But it does have anti-drip.
yeah, but this one has a sponge……just because it is similar, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t deserve some recognition……
nice golf 2
Should have used one of the old 5 disc cd-rom changer with more player controls on the front. Many of the ancient cd-rom drives had play/pause and track skip controls on the front. As they lead directly to the soundcard they would play without the use of any software at all.
This one still seems to have some of the controls though, more than most of the newer ones do.
I guess the car was too old and didn’t have cup holders.
Hey, you gotta do something to keep your music from skipping when your car doesn’t have shock absorbers.
Oddly enough, the only thing it’ll play is the Spongebob Squarepants theme.
Ohhhhhhh, who lives in the stereo under the dash?

You can never have too many safety features. That will cushion you if you are launched into the radio.
This is actually a standard installation. The vehicle was bought from a dealer under the Luffa(sz) Auto Network.
Ah a LAN.
Silly me, I didn’t even notice that, I made a joke without even meaning to. I’m going to have to Dial-up the “Silly Police.”
BTW, big Coyote *Squeeze*
How’s my favorite Meyers-Briggs Savvy Um… Coyote?
Hmm, did I type in my “Pre” coding wrong?
How many, “… Meyers-Briggs Savvy …”, coyotes do you know?
The 16th was my one year anniversary of my bone marrow stem cell transplant, so I’m feeling damned good!
I wonder how much it cost? I hope he didn’t get soaked.
It’s just a dab of change, I’m sure it won’t break him.
That makes cents.
Yeah, it’ll take a little dime, but Nickel get back on his feet.
So he wasn’t broke two bits?
As long as he quits sponging off his friends.
Play the Petra album Washes Whiter Than, and that sponge will do just that.
Play SonicFlood, and you won’t hear a note.
Give it a musical Splat!
Dude, that’s my photo and my car! Le sigh
And the owner can use the sponge to wipe away tears after listening to a Yanni CD.
bovine spongiform encephalopathy
Heh, I always suspected PC 5″ bays were the same size as car stereo cutouts … it seems to be true, so long as that sponge is taking the place of a custom fascia surround. The power and audio outs are definitely compatible, though the true kludging comes from them using the barely-amplified earphone jack as a feed to the speakers rather than running the drive’s “proper” lineout to an amplifier.
Oh look! Dear! This model has a thermally insulated self-retracting coffee cup holder!! I think it works like the one on your computer!
damn it! no more cd drive to burn CDs to listen in the car!!!
