This mush be how the Native American Indian tribes held up their telephone wires before the white man came along.
I hadn’t realized the native Americans had wired ahead for their reservations…
they only did it when they had a weak smoke signal.
Plus, you always want to call ahead and make sure they have TP.
How.
If you try that with a 6kv+ wire, you’ll make plenty of smoke signals for a while! And, you’re likely to become part of the smoke if you do this!
Ooooh, nice!
Native Americans employed wireless communication. Know why? Archaeologists never discovered any wires…
Wait for it…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SFLdzLAbFQ…Only a lot MORE so.
Except I don’t think that one is a power line.
“Hey, what are you doing with that tree branch?”
“Oh, nothing, just… sticking around”
You have to love the logic. Using a tree branch to keep the lines out of the tree branches.
It’s like putting a fence around your business when you sell fences. I’ve seen this, and wondered if it’s better to use one of your own fences, in which case you admit you cannot protect all your fences, or use a competitor’s fence for the perimeter.
I’d just use a hedge. They’re impenetrable, ya know.
Yeah, but isn’t that kind of hedging your bets that the thieves won’t have electric hedge clippers?
They tried to raise money for a hedge, but someone embezzled the hedge fund.
As usual, someone will blame the bush administration.
They were the executive branch after all.
Just thinking about branching out to this site, but expecting my efforts to be blocked before I can hold up a transmission here.
Hopefully see you tomorrow.
Tree branch on a brick. Even better. Gotta love how the wires next to it are doing fine without any supports, why bother with this one? (I guess its probably a heavier one that would otherwise sag, fine)
I hope this doesn’t sap the energy from that power line.
Let’s elevate the debate and branch to topics that don’t involve someone’s strings being pulled
If ConEd didn’t lay off the tree trimers….
I wouldn’t touch that wire with a ten foot pole.
Fifteen foot, maybe.
Poor Jonny had a falling out with his parents. They called him dead wood, a stick in the mud, just because he didn’t want to take over the family gas processing operation. He aspired to achieve greater heights, he wanted to go into the electrical field.
Reach for your dreams, Jonny.
Because all of the truly viable options to handle this situation don’t exactly grow on trees.
Another fine example of stick to itiveness.
They’re really sticking it to the man. I’m just not sure if that’s Ohm or Ampere.
heyyyyyy! upside down dowsing!!!
New meaning to the term support line? Puns aside, I’m glad it’s the phone line being propped up. Touching one of the electrical feeders above is quite deadly, even with a branch.
my best life is ahead for me.
I always knew telegraph poles were like trees springing up all over the place.
Wow. That’s like a Salvidor Dali painting in real life lol
acme is an actual company…
Mmmm, not liking the native american jokes, sorry – but we are people too!
I know it’s clever wordplay, but still, don’t you think that’s just a little bit racist? Yikes…
if you hold your over the image it pops up as WHITE
….if I hold my w-h-a-t over the image?
