“Beautiful 2 br. apt. with REAL half-bath!”
“Eww, Mrs. Teacher! We can hear the boys PEEING over there!!”
“I know girls, but on the othe hand, they can hear you too.”
*shrieking*
Answers like this are why some people aren’t destined for a career in the education field.
Leave the window half open if you dare.
Peter Pan once again finds himself perplexed by the modern DIY-ers.
Ridgemore Prep is now co-ed.
A retrofitted restroom. I’ve seen those before. There was one at UT that had a round air-conditioning vent in the ceiling the size of the WHOLE ROOM.
UT Arlington has the same situation with some of the older buildings. The Science Hall has a dropped false ceiling for the duct work which dips below the original line of the windows. The retorfiter was smart enough, though, to leave a gap so the new ceiling doesn’t interfere with the windows.
Actually, the view is not half bad.
half a window?
This is perfect on going to those weird rituals to learn how the bodily system works….Except that it is halved. So we will know half the story.
Kludge math:
1/2(window) = win
If anyone is outside peeking in, will they will only see you half-naked?
Great for launching bottle rockets into the girls room, but it still is a half-glassed solution.
Something doesn’t look quite right here.
if you listen carefully you can hear the wall
omnomnomnom
My mom had me divide a room with a wall, right between 2 windows that were closer together than the wall is thick. I centered 1 side of the wall between said windows and built a pocket on the other side, to avoid blocking any part of the other window. The wall is only 1″ thick in the pocket area. Just 2 pieces of drywall glued back-to-ʞɔɐq.
Give it a Splat!
… and don’t sneeze.
That’s the window in Sam Lowery’s office.
Sure it looks bad, but it’d be a real pane in the glass to fix.
It’s just waiting for the next window of kludge opportunity to open.
How can a construction crew in good conscious put up a wall that divides a window in two like that?
A half-conscious crew?
I actually came home from work to find a guy doing this in my bathroom. He was hired to put a shower in, but the window was right next to the tub. So he’s framing a surround for the shower pipes and just frames up the middle of the window.
I called the contractor and said “Tell this idiot to take that nonsense down. If y’all can’t do any better than this, don’t do it.”
Hard to believe a licensed journeyman would do something like that but it happens.
You can’t even open the window when it gets smelly. Where’s a keyboard when you need one?
This is a classic case of a creature becoming useless by the introduction of another. In this case the window used to open inward. When the wall was introduced to its environment the windows niche was taken away. This is why introducing non-indigenous creatures can be devastating to an ecosystem.
This isn’t what he meant by sharing a Windows install.
And you just can see half of it!!It’s a zombi protection measure.THEY’RE GONNA EAT US ALL!!!
So dude you wanna go halvsies on an apartment. We can work out the details later?
Didn’t this happen on an episode of “Fringe” recently? Maybe this is proof of parallel universes colliding….
It looks like Sam Lowrey’s office in the movie Brazil.
my thoughts exactly
what a great scene…and movie
I am living in an apartment right now that has the shower built over half of the window. Oddly, it’s the second place in a row I’ve lived in like this. Damn owner-built suites.
your landlord is probably getting paid by your voyeur-neighbours
Am I the only one who noticed that the window opens INWARD. Double fail.
This is the inside of the half camper/car, half bathroom included.
and Fuzzy Wuzzy’s driving.
Wuz he?
That window is forever stuck closed. Kind of like railroad track switches that get paved over.
I wonder how many closed book collars that building has seen so far?
It brightens up those dark corners in your rooms.
THE WALL IS EATING THE HOUSE!
soo that’s what it looks like in the sims when i use the “moveobjects on” cheat
‘Honey, you want to open the window to let the paint dry?’
Hmm…Am I the only one that noticed that the window opens inward?
Ok….luckily I caught that comment about the window opening inward before posting the following and looking like an idiot.
In England and early America, homes were taxed on the number of windows they had……so this was the solution.
Two rooms share a window.
HOWEVER…since the window DOES open inward, it’s a kludge.
Now you can voyeur in the bathroom and the bedroom at the same time!
