“Make It Real” you’re doing it… wrong?
The other components are mounted in Tupperware. Definately not a tinny sound.
“The system contains 24 surround speakers, a 6-pack of tweeters and is completed with a 2L subwoofer.”
It’s good for listening to “pop” music.
The blue volume control knob must work wonders in the rolling echo chamber.
Only until it rolls itself off the top shelf.
He decided to upgrade to 2l after his previous system was canned.
With 2 speakers could be called “Soda Stereo” (argentine rock band).
te la comiste con la referencia, che!

Great!
Don’t try to bring it on a plane
Perfect for listening to pop music.
Remember that song from 1980 called “Pop Music” by M? Playing that song on this system would be so damned literal!
The dialog sounds like I’m listening to it underwater…
When full it doubles as a mixer.
“Sweet tune man.”

Ouch. You would thought that it noticed.
Puns may not be jokes, but I just laughed my ass off!
Maybe you can use some duct tape to stick it back on?
“I think there’s something wrong with these new speakers. They’re making a hissing noise.”
“Sounds like steam escaping.”
It would be a win if the bottle was Hawaiian Punch, Kicker’s bastard child.
What’s that “popping” noise?
I bet he’s a real big fan of Don Ho.
Wait – that only works if he’s running WINE

Perfect for listening to pop music.
Copycat!
A lot of posts are made before they show up. That’s why you see a LOT of similar/same comments after a while.
It would probably work better without the cap, or at least a vent hole to allow air to move in/out.
Sound geeks will say there’s too much ‘plastic sound’.
Strangely, Bose declined Ed’s application for employment, despite his innovative design presentation.
Actually, this looks a lot more like Harman Kardon than Bose.
Listen to your MP3s through your 7Up
Say what you will, this person has the smarts electronically.
Yeah it’s pretty cool to see in person; my bf made one out of one of those big water jugs for Burning Man (don’t want to take super-nice speakers out there unless you hate them) and it sounded AWESOME.
cool can ypou get him to post a tutorial on cut out and keep? i want to msake one sooooooo badf!!!!
BTW&FYI, I<3BACON
I dunno- sounds flat to me.
It doesn’t appear to be plugged in, either. I bet the tweeters sound a bit fizzy, too.
It’s not gonna sound right unless he hooks it up with a $200 set of speaker cables.
Eh, probably doesn’t sound much worse than most plastic-housed speakers that are actually sold.
“That’s pretty underground. My new speaker system is pretty underground.” “Is it 5.1?” “No, 2 liters and a half.” “Wow, that is pretty underground.”
A 55 gallon drum would make a great sub-woofer for this system.
Only if you’re into heavy metal.

I think it could have better sound, with the cap removed!

Looks more like “Surreal” sound to me!
Desperate sounds call for desperate measures ! And only one small calorie too…:-)
after many decades of music sponsorship Coca-cola went way too far and decided to enter the sound biz. Now Sony are going to be mad when they see this!
Hi all,
some more information:
- the prototype was a bass-reflex enclosure. It has an extended low frequencies response (I guess it comes down to ca. 60Hz (-6dB), but the port has different tuning frequency than speaker resonace. So, it was good solution for low level listening. With high levels, Xmax exceedes safe value. So it became a closed box with not perfec bass, but with relatively high output level (possibly even ca. 105dB SPL at 1m).
- there was an experiment with 4th order band-pass subwoofer based on set of pepsi bottles, but nothing interesting happens. It sounds good, but withi extremely low levels.
- cost of everything was about 0.10$ – I had to buy some glue for suspension and mounting technology. Speakers were taken from an old car, cables were from somewhere, ‘enclosures’ were available in any time in our student’s hostel (:
- they sounded much better than plastic multimedia speakers. Really! They had some trace of low frequencies, they weren’t as bright as most of small speakers.
- if the bottle isn’t already bended it is a pretty stiff enclosure if we assume preassure as the only force working on it.
- in most time they worked as a back speakers for pseudoquardo system. They get differential signals and played only sounds panned in stereo. The front-main system was Mission 702e.
- I think I should patent it and win all ecology prizes for enviromental friendly speakers (:

ZiKE
Man, these new speakers really pop.
i bet this has great bass
