We wish you a geeky Christmas
We wish you a geeky Christmas
We wish you a geeky Christmas
And a networked new year..
The servers are our friends! They want to SERVE us! muahahahahahaha!
They forgot just one thing. They forgot to set it on fire.
…yeah, that’d be awesome too. Email to Mythbusters?
Just pour gasoline on it. Then, smoke a cigar.
actually mythbusters tried the light a cigaret and then throw it into gasoline.. did not go on fire.. its a hollywood stunt only
THIS. IS. EFFING. AWESOME.
That is awesome. Computer nerds unite by this wonderful tree celebrating things like silicon, hard drives, motherboards, and CPUs.
someone should make a large computer cluster then shape then into a tree… or better yet just cluster those ones
Nerd A: My computer cluster is 50% more efficient than the competition.
Nerd B: My computer cluster is ∞ more festive than the competition.
YOU decide!
That is just totally made of awesome!
All it needs is a pine scented, car air freshener for reality!
It’s pretty cool… but it still wont run Crys(m)is.
I see what you did there…
On the first day of Christmas the geeks gave to me, A gi~~ant PC Tree
Wow, it takes all that CPU power just to run some christmas lights?
Must be running Windows 7
nah….windows VISTA
“Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.”
And for their first Christmas, Wall-E made a very special tree for Eve
Intel and AMD brought together at the top with a parallel cable. Both with roots to an emachine and a IBM keyboard with no Windows key tied together with lights and I guess ethernet and christmas tree string. If this was running a processing grid and had live CDs in CD-ROM drives and a processing a workload or was booting up, it would be quite the sight as the drives would light up during io activity and make my day.
Thanks for the idea! I think we can incorporate that into the next rendition of this “tree”
Man this totally trumps the AOL CD tree I had back in college.
!!!
Those are Core i7 Extreme boxes. Can’t read the number… but those puppies are like $1000 a pop! Yousa!
Those must be the most recent empty boxes they’ve acquired. Apparently they never recycle or throw out old cases. Some of those are OLD! What else can you do with AT cases but stack them and throw lights on them?
One is an i7 975 the other is a box is a Phenom 9950. BTW most recent empty box is a Phenom II 965
All those electronics and not one surge protector in sight! Suddenly, it all makes much more sense.
kinda remind me of my video monitor / tv christmas tree i did last year
Yeah but does it run Crysis?
No you need to add a cd/dvd drive to install it first and even if you did it still may not run it.
And now, time for some magic! Shall Santa Clause revive all these fallen to malware and aging, and shall everyone have a happy IT Christmas!
Giving new meaning to fancy blinking computer lights! This year, the tree *is* the present!
What’s that on top, anyway?
looks like an old GPS screen
On the twelfth day of Christmas the Geek Squad gave to me, 12 feet of network cable, 11 Cd drives, 10 towering towers, 9 network cards, 8 power supplies, 7 subscriptions to WoW, 6 printing printers, FIVE HEADPHONE JAACCCKKKSSSSS 4 Dvd drives, 3 Sd cards, 2 intel cores and a windows seven key!!
Anyone else think it is strange that an i7 box is right next to a pentium 1?
If Domino PC is the best thing to come out of the dot-com crash, I guess this would be number two?
Happy winter-een-mas!

(and a few comics prior to that set as well)
I doesn’t run crysis, but they do have systems that will…. I know these guys. And yes, this is that much more awesome in person.
It is sysadmins christmas tree
Attention geeks, we have a new tree, just uploaded the image, awaiting approval. Its even more bit-ar!
Why are the presents making up the tree and not under it?
*tear* words cannot describe…
