That looks painful to use.
..w-what the hell IS that?
And who is “EE TECH”?
Er, nevermind, I see now..huh.
Still don’t know what the hell that handle is made of though..
Looks like the ring off the neck of a 2-liter soda bottle and maybe some hot glue to me.
Plastic bottle top, looks like from a gallon milk jug.
e e cummings’ older brother.
What teachers must do because of budget cuts is getting out of hand.
Ha ha budget “cuts”
took me a minute to see what they did thats smart
I’ve never seen scissors break like that. I’ve broken several pairs of scissors at work, and they always fail at the hinge.
tis made out of a scotch tape center…
just like the rubber on the back of your pencil it’s just in case you were not supposed to cut
If this is from a technical school, we better start praying, since they’re studying for the kinds of jobs that are tough to outsource overseas.
A cutting edge repair, perhaps?
Cheap pair of scissors: $1.00
Two liter of soda: $1.49
Spending an extra 49 cents so as to amuse the internets: priceless.
They just don’t make em like they used to……….
This isn’t a kludge. They’re just fixing those stupid goddamned “right-handed only” scissors.
The manufacturers of those should be rounded up and shot.
Sorry Southpaws. Us right-handers & our narrow scope on life.
If that’s epoxy putty holding the handle replacement on (sure looks like it) that stuff is more expensive than a really nice pair of scissors!
I think this is shear genius
Thank god our ancestors didn’t have this kind of low quality crap when they were trading with the Indians; we would’ve never gotten Manhattan!
I think it’s sweet that they labeled their scissors, as if someone might want to take them away…
Actually, I think some other dept labeled them so EE Tech wouldn’t try to swap them for a good pair.
Great to know that EE Tech are looking after their equipment.
Needs duct tape
Those were grandma’s scissors! Can’t just throw them out…
These scissors are a cut above the rest.
I wonder what he used to cut out the top of the cap.
EE Tech might stand for Electrical Engineering Technology. That would mean this was done at a college.
