Peppy was not aware of the other meaning of his catchphrase…

  4. Glicks says:

What you don’t see in this pic is the overweight Italian plumber standing at the bottom of the scaffold.

  5. A Random Pooka says:

God, I wish I could say I’ve never seen or done anything that stupid or unsafe while working on a construction job.

But … I can’t. At least he’s got the barrel chocked so it can’t roll, I guess, and he’s not using like a 6 inch grinder or some other face-ripping-off power tool?

  6. husabob says:

is he wearing an OSHA approved safety turban?

  7. Ron n Coffey says:

I think I would have turned the barrel on end; or build something out of wood to add To the scaffolding

    • Anodean says:

Perhaps he will turn it on end to reach the rest of the job – after all, if he placed it upright now, he would then have to stand on it while bending low to dress the stones he is presently working on… which would be an, ah, less favorable arrangement. :D

  8. Sue says:

I hope this worked out for him. That plant underneath him looks particularly uncomfortable to fall on.

  9. Jompe71 says:

Painting the facade green afterwards and voalá, a rectangular lizard!

  10. Btw.. if we check carefully there are some blocks of wood or something which would stop the barrel from rolling… oopz

  11. Leo Lichtman says:

What’s up with that board hanging at an angle under the end of the drum?

Besides the possibility that he might lose his footing on the curved surface of the drum, or the drum might not be fully held by the chocks, notice that the near-end scaffolding has been made level and secure (?) by rocks placed under the legs.

  12. Daniel says:

Nothing says victory in Afghanistan like seeing the Cirque du Soleil starting to build a venue there.

  13. DLZ says:

That man is only two adjustments away from having a working catapult.

  16. Muff Master says:

This became a good idea only after this guy drank all of the beer in the keg he’s standing on.

  17. Bridge says:

I don’t know what’s worse: the fact that he’s using a barrel to work on a roof, or that if he slips off it and falls, he’ll fall onto what appears to be horrible spikes of bloody death.

  18. bruce says:

only in good old South Africa

  26. classicgameguru says:

in the development phase: “….And that’s how we came up with Donkey kong!” Close but no princess! but it was also confirmed that Donkey kong was afraid of heights.

  27. andreluiz89 says:

ok..I see the gorilla, I see the barrel, but where is Mario and the princess??

  28. O.B. Juan says:

After Mario married the princess he decided to build a little house for themselves in the country.
