Copy & paste this:

You can do virtually everything with duct tape
Isn’t that electrical tape too? Wonder Tape Powers! Activate!
It looks like they used masking tape on a few letters, and to make the entire L.
gelato = ice cream in italian
A common misconception. Gellatto is “ice cream”. Gelato means “decorative signs”
No. Gelato means Ice Cream. Gellatto means nothing.
Didn’t Gellato build Pinocchio? I’m confused.
Pinocchio was built by Geppetto.

You say Gellatto, I say Gelato. Let’s call the whole thing off.
in what language does “off” mean “ice cream”?
Blue paint is so hard to come by.
Also is that place of business seriously called “Elegant Gelato”?
ELEGANT HOMEWARFS?
ELEGANT HOMEWARTS
Or maybe ELEGANT HOGWARTS??? LOL
HOME WARES?
SOMEBODY CALL ME?

Elegant Homewares
So, the kludger could paint over parts of some letters – but to get rid of a whole letter, just X it out?
Awesome!
advertising 101; get people to stop and read your message. awesome kludge
Any publicity is good publicity, right?
Elegant Homewares. Took me a bit to figure it out.
“Gelato” means ice cream in Italian.
And in North America it means Italian-style ice cream.
In this case, though, it means: “The owner of this shop is too cheap to pay to have a proper sign made.” Italian is funny that way.
OOOO FUN! I love word puzzles! I finally figured out what it’s supposed to say! I think you’re right, ceo (above). HOMEWARES. What exactly would a “GELATO” be and how do you make it elegant?
Gelato, plural gelati, is Italy’s regional variant of ice cream. As such, gelato is made with some of the same ingredients as most other frozen dairy desserts. Milk, cream, various sugars, flavoring including fruit and nut purees and air are the main ingredients.
The Wikipedia called, they want their text back.
Right, this used to say Elegant Homewares, and now they’ve “fixed” it to say “GELATO”…sort of.
Because nothing says elegance like editing your business name with electrical tape.
whAt Were thEy Smoking On Monday aftErnoon
…awesome stuff, perhaps?
no…”elegant” stuff…
Elegant ice cream…oooh now I get it!
Y’know… with a couple more adjustments you could turn it into: “Elegant Jury Rig”
Oh no, “Gelato” is off center.
Better eat another scoop.
I have the feeling their idea of elegance parts ways with my own. I’ll pass.
While you try to decrypt the message, elegantly the owner is atracting you to the kludge inside from you can’t escape.
It also says EXLAX…
Given the attention to the outside, I’d hate to see how much was given to the remodeling inside. It’s easy to keep gelato cold in a china hutch, right?
that’s redefining the word “Elegant”
Maybe it’s just me, but I swear I see “Game and Watch” and “Wario” in there.
I hear that gelato is very expensive but I still don’t know what the hell gelato is. Uh…..oh…….I see it now, ice cream. Never mind.
Gel(l)ato I get. What the heck are Hmewares?
Are we sure this isn’t just creative graffiti?
Wow so this “Gelato” is dirty than “XXX” it’s actually “XXXX” rated!?! Sign me up!
I am sure this ice cream is dirty. Just not in the way you are hoping.
To me it looks like someone is playing a game of Hangman
_ G _ E _ L A _ T O
Just four letters to go …
I am reminded of Kembass Cleaners:

Obviously a Scrabble afficianado and he used his Blank for the L
Yeah, that’s elegant alright. WOW!!! And I thought I was cheap.
I love a food seller that cuts corners….just remember, those might NOT be chocolate chips in your dessert.
You know, they obviously had paint (see the “E” at the end which is now a “T”). Why didn’t they just duct tape over the whole thing and then paint over the duct tape? Not that I don’t admire their ingenuity to turn the word “HOMEWARES” into “GELATO”…
Ya, well I thought it said Elegant Ghetto!
Heh, its the local Bellingen Ice Cream/Retro Cafe!
Now world famous i see, this was only during the redecor phase and its fixed now.
Hoorey for the internet
The sign used to say ELEGANT HCMEWARIO.
