The chain appears to be connected around the strut or other part in that area. The chain used is really weak anyway. This looks like it was set up just for posting a picture.

  18. ReddNekk says:

Helping that tree grow straight is an excellent use for that clunker now that the cash program’s over with!!

Further to Quark’s comment. If the thief jimmies the trunk, he gets access to the spare and jack, so it could happen: i.e., wheel still there, car gone.

This might be the Borg car that Sue was talking about back on the “Dashboard Confessional” kludge. It got assimilated, and now it’s trying to assimilate the tree.

    Sadly, that´s a leash…

  36. Leonardo says:

Explanation: that’s a VW Gol, the most stolen car in Brazil. Also the best-selling one since Reagan’s second term. So, when you park your Gol, you can’t throw a stone without hitting another one. A thief comes by, sees two Gols, and which one will he steal? The one without the chain, of course.

Oh, and it’s worth protecting. Used-car depreciation here tends to be painfully slow, so the car is actually worth something.

Saw this on http://ghettoredhot.com too. Funny as shhh.
