I am almost ashamed to admit..that’s my wife’s car. I explained how the new muffler was ~$300 and she said that was unacceptable. She wanted me to use a PBR can, but I have standards. It was secured with .035″ safety wire and was on the pipe until I had the muffler replaced almost 2 months later.

Old school fix this is. Best results are with a heavier steel can and screw-type metal hose clamps. Gets folks to work, (or the unenjoyment office), and helps keep food on the table. Or go to the muffler shop and pay largely.
