He made a little tiny pallet to remind him of what he’s got in the trailer.
Do you wipe your feet before you go into your house? For a driver, his truck is his house, often for weeks at a time. Not wanting to drag in dirt and crap seems legit.
Maybe you are supposed to wipe your feet on the way out.
Why can name the type of car the picture was taken from?
who not why. Read before you post kids
a passenger car…
Actually, “why” is a more interesting question. Why would you need to know what car is it?
I dunno… reflection on truck side? Is it a Nissan Murano?
Nope. It’s a Toyota 4Runner. I took it. It’s mine
The red paint looks glossy but the step definitely has a mat finish.
Home away from home
Who knew long-haul truckers were so concerned about cleanliness.
This is the house that Peterbuilt!!
truckers never die the just get another peterbuilt
That’s not a door mat. That’s a bear he ran over a couple weeks ago that he is shrinking. See the double tire pattern in it.
How can I duno think this before?
“Can’t have those truck stop prostitutes tracking ALL of their filth into my rig.”
Here at Kludge ko. trucking, we care about cleanlieness. All our drivers are required by company policy to wipe their feet before AND after getting in or out of their trucks. We guarantee your product will arive clean and safe in a sparkling truck.
A few things:
1. Arrive, not arive, sorry.
2. The “k” in “ko.” is not a typo. I put it for alliteration. Shorten it to Kludgeko if you want.
So whats the third thing….. you said a few, and a few = 3, couple = 2….. So i guess the third thing could be that you meant to say “a couple things”, right?
He forgot to add that he meant “cleanliness.”
Do I sense another vote for an edit mode?
This isn’t a kludge…they sell those maps to attach to your running boards at most truckstops. That’s very common.
Really? How does a driver see a map way down there on his running board?
Not only that but if the board is running that makes reading the map even harder.
Yep, another edit mode request.
Assuming that there should be a sleeping place behind the driver’s seat, the only two things this truck lacks is an inscription “Home sweet home” on the door and a nice doorbell.
If you have the 6-foot or 8-foot “Super Sleeper” on the truck (complete with a small galley, fridge, and tiny restroom) then it really can be your home 24/7. And a doorbell would be that last little (mind-blowing) finishing touch. (Put a “wallet chain” on the Welcome Mat.)
But the neighborhood kids would be taking their lives in their hands playing “Ding Dong Ditch” at a truck stop – he might come out a bit grumpy…
Or the driver might not come out. He might start the engine, chase the kids and try to get some “splatter bonus” or “piledriver bonus”, shouting his lovely way-heys all over the neighbourhood
Actually, I’ve seen some trucks with a decal of an outhouse circled by the words “my low income housing”.
The later seasons of “Trick My Truck” had to deal with some budget cuts…
When we lived on the farm in IN, we had one of these on the porch because of the clay soil. It sticks to your boots like wet pizza dough, and if I had to be out with the horses, I’d sometimes come walking back weighing in at 5lbs. per foot. We would hose off what we could, but in the dead of winter, even the non-freezing water spigots would still freeze up, and you’d have to scrape off what you could on these things before you came inside. In the spring, we had the annual “de-soiling” of the mud room, and I’d end up with enough dirt to fill a quart flower pot.
My niece was a trucker, lived in it 24-7 and it just makes sense youd want to keep your home clean…And by the way truckers call the prostitutes lot lizards
Let’s not forget the less-used but still valid “sleeper creepers.”
“…Where’d you get those peepers…”
not bad 30 to 40 comments and Mark was on the mark, 2 or 3 others made valid comments, 1 in 10 about right for the web. Just an add on did you know most truckers can actually read and write.
This is quite a common thing, actually.
