That’s the way to shake a proper martini.
I forsee a lot of bloddy noses and crushed black plastic in thier future.
Perhaps he’s been drinking. It won’t be pretty if he falls. Either way, he’s trashed.
I’d suggest you stop mating with Mikey. You don’t want to pass on the stupid genes.
“Mate” in this case does not mean a lover, it’s a term for a friend over in the UK.
The mountain bike seems to have decent suspension, perhaps he should just wheel hop up there on the bike!
How many broken bones does it take to change a lightbulb?
Ah, I miss England!
When a ladder just won’t do, this kludge is for you!
What’s up with all of the extra pipes going into the sanitary sewer stack?
A lot of these sorts of houses were originally built with outside loos. I’m guessing those pipes are the toilet, wash basin and bath. It’s easier to punch a hole in the wall and run the pipes outside than to try and merge them indoors. Each downpipe is a different house. Except for the cast iron one, which is from the guttering.
Yeah, I really am this dull…
Only a student – imagine what we will be seeing when he graduates….
if carlsberg made ladders….
(lightbulb) change you “can” believe in
Yes we “can”

woah woah woah, hold on a minute! outside light on a student house? how posh are you?!
Looks like he could use the failblog Flex-o-Ladder.
He’s a gifted student.
Wow the only thing structurally sound in the picture is the bicycle!
As it looks to me, the stack isn’t really unstable. The can stands on the table and leans against the wall. It’s nearly as safe as properly placed ladder, and even safer than other uses of ladders seen hereabouts.
I was thinking the same thing (stupid, but probably semi-stable at least) until I noticed that the garbage can appears to be braced against on only 1/2 of it’s top edge and that the other half is right in front of a big window.
Really, it isn’t that unstable? Have you ever had a TBI? Cause you know having had one is the number one factor to putting you at risk for having another, which would explain why you might see this as “safe”. please, PLEASE Andreas, don’t try this, I don’t want to see a video of you with your head split open on Ebaums world
I must admit, I don’t even know what a TBI is. At least I don’t recognize the abbreviation. I agree that with the top-edge only *halfways* against the wall it is indeed less safe, than it first seemed to me.
That is some pretty rough student housing. Do you attend the School of Hard Knocks?
You have to love us English. come hell, high water or lack of ladder we are fixing that damn leak!
That’s the philosophy of American Rednecks!
That building is a pipe dream.
What’s wrong with leaning out the window? If these guys can do it, I know Mikey can! http://thereifixedit.com/2009/07/28/epic-kludge-photo-almost-got-it/#comments
I wish Mikey would quit spouting all that trash about how his life is no picnic and how everything seems so out of balance… it’s so off the wall.
At least he’s trying to shed some light on the subject!
This is not the ideal setup, but it’s the only way to reach the numbers on the “No accidents in XX days” sign.
I love the external wastewater plumbing. Must be fun in the winter.
