Kind of like the opposite of backing up really fast and slamming on the brakes to unload.”

    Reduces aerodynamic drag

  2. Albert says:

I bet the trailer itself is empty.

  3. Anon says:

I’m glad I didn’t trust THEM to move my stuff.

  4. Domino says:

    More cushion for the pushing…

  5. Rich says:

Some people are just too lazy to make two trips.

  6. Evan says:

    Just couldn’t live without it!

  7. Robin says:

My husband is military and we have used contracted movers like that company four times now. I am not in the least surprised.

They once took a shirt of mine and wrapped it around a candle. The candle wax stained the shirt.

Another packed the coffee pot we had out for them to get coffee, and it still had used coffee grounds.

My mattress rode in the “belly” and had stains all over it from road grime. (claimed that one)

I have heard stories of them packing trash cans and dirty cups.

  8. Daniel Williams says:

This isn’t actually “rigged” at all. There’s a reason there’s the extension gate on moving trucks. It’s not like that truck has one person’s stuff on it. Cross country haulers will load up two, three, even four households along their way and drop them off en route to their final destination. Then they turn around and do it going the other way. MOST of the time things are wrapped and packed properly. MOST. But when they aren’t, there’s a simple claims process, and if the shipper is smart, they’ve properly insured their shipment.

    • Evan says:

      I sense a moving company affiliation here…

      • Daniel Williams says:

Yeah, I worked for one of the largest moving companies in the country.

      • Mason says:

I worked in the moving industry once upon a time, and I can confirm that this isn’t rigged. The trailers are all designed with a slide-out deck in the back and places to latch straps to so that anything that doesn’t fit in the truck can be placed there. If the right items are chosen and they are wrapped properly, then they’ll be fine. If…

It really shouldn’t happen, but like the last guy said, most of these trucks are usually hauling 3-4 households of stuff, often with semi-random pickups and dropoffs (pick up load A, pick up load B, drop off load A, pick up load C, drop off load C, pick up load D, pick up load E, drop off load B, drop off load D, etc), and mistakes can happen. Sometimes the idiot estimator gets the amount of stuff wrong, sometimes the idiot driver can’t pack a truck right, and sometimes the idiot customer forgot to mention that extra room of stuff that has to go.

When you absolutely, positively have to keep all that crap that’s been filling up your garage so you can’t park your car in there.

  11. RusFixer says:

This is a trailer house which reproduces by buddind. As the driver’s kids reach their maturity, the fully grown new truck separates from its mother and gets inherited.

  12. snash says:

You can bet that stuff gets stolen at the first truck stop!!

  13. dono1 says:

Maybe they were just trying to hide the sign that says, “How’s My Driving? Call…”.

  14. KC/CC says:

Looks like it won a fight with a garbage truck.

  15. waldo says:

Sure gives a new meaning to the term drafting

  16. husabob says:

You seen cameras on the back of trucks and RV’s for backing up? Well, this one also projects a holographic image of stuff strapped back there to discourage tailgaters.

  17. dono1 says:

    AKA Trailer Trash.

  18. Clyde says:

The experiment looks to be a success. Looking for ways to make it rain other than the obvious like washing your car, Floyd stuck his belongings to the back of a moving van. That’s thinking outside the box, figuratively and literally.

  19. De Jappe says:

If only we didn’t lose the key of the trailer, gonna be a lot more trips this way…

  20. Dave says:

another great move by dodgy brothers incorperated

  21. Mike says:

This is called a tailgate load, the moving trucks like the one in the picture have a slide out floor that can be loaded if the people that are being moved have to much junk. I worked for the company shown in the picture and we used to have to do that very often. A 53′ trailer can hold up to 25 000lbs of furniture when packed properly… this guy obviously had a little bit more than that.

Still sucks for the people that have the furniture being soaked in the rain lol

  22. TheAntiCat says:

Taking everything that IS nailed down?

  23. DensityDuck says:

    “Forclose ME? Well, screw YOU!”

    (Yes, this really happens.)

Also: Those packers are completely insane, but it’s easier to be OCD-crazy about what you pack than it is to have a claim filed because “what do you MEAN you thought my collage-materials storage was a bag full of trash, YOUR ALL RACIST HOMOPHOBES IMA SOOOOOOO!!!!”

  24. towny says:

looks like the truck has hemorrhoids

  25. Jeremy Kuehl says:

I have done this many times in the moving business. gotta make sure that everything makes it, and not you can’t make two trips when you are moving from New York to California.

  26. Zoe says:

That’s a Graebel truck. After our horrible experience moving cross country with them, this doesn’t surprise me in the least. We had almost four thousand dollars worth of damage to our stuff and they didn’t care in the least. I caught the movers, shoving their weight against the doors, trying to force things in as they had over packed the truck. Of course, all the loose items like wooden and even metal furniture were broken when they unpacked everything on the other end of our trip.

  27. captainb says:

    no, that’s an atlas truck

  28. Corb says:

I think he could have got more back there, I can still see the top of the truck.

  29. what we use on our kitchen sinks are porcelain kitchen sinks, they are expensive but they are the best “
