Like I said before, he said he was a kiwi, aka, a New Zealander. We don’t have Radio Shack here for starters. Secondly, free tv here you only get about 5 channels unless you pay for a digital box which then gives you about 5 more plus some radio stations. If you pay for satellite tv subscription ($30 or more per month depending on the channels) then you get all the rest like cooking, movies, entertainment etc.
What he was probably trying to do was hijack his neighbours satellite tv. If you live close enough to someone with it then sometimes you can faintly pick up one or two of their channels. Not in good enough quality for that sort of effort though.
