“wax on and rub off” steering wheel action, will not work on that. you will most likely face plant the floor
bad news: flat tyre XD
as a kid, i put a steering wheel salvaged from a ’53 mercury onto my English 3-speed… it was great until i hit a curb once, and nearly gelded myself… having the wheel inches from your front is a level of safety risk that even weenies who wear helmets shouldn’t do.
Looks like that there BMW accessory might be equipped with an air bag, though as far as I know only Jeeps used the mechanical self-contained version a couple of years
BMWTF
BMW parts make any vehicle classier.
chronic, wait for there airbag model
So was it attached with duct tape?
Well, the bike looks really cool. Certainly will get attention on the streets.
I wonder if the horn works.
In the US, this may be the economy model, but in third-world countries this is the peak of luxury! It even has a license plate to make it “street” legal!
Mercedes-Benz steering wheel, not BMW. But still classy.
Where’s the seat?
Wait I guess I see the seat…and its kind of scary looking.
It looks like they stole the air from the rear tire to operate the new AirBag. Engineer’s, always a compromise in design.
This would be the new zero-series?
Oh, this post is about the bike? And here I thought the kludge was…well, pretty much everything else in this photo.
So would this be considered a three-wheeler?
I wonder if the airbag deploying will keep you from racking your nuts on the handle bars?
Bike steering wheel. When you want to look like those pricks that drive the luxory cars without the actual cost of being a prick.
Upon reaching the staircase again, Bobby realized his modification wasn’t going to help as much as he’d hoped.
The airbag will soften the blow.
That’s all I could steal, man!
It’s environmentally friendly and will attract more women than your beat-up Focus will in a lifetime.
I’m waiting for the M version.
Is this a bike fixed with a steering wheel or is it a car fixed with a lot of bike parts.
I just want to see a photo of the Beemer with handlebars instead of this steering wheel.
this is the full-option model with ABS,10 AIRBAGS, cruise control, automatic transmision, rain senzors, lether seats…you name it
Ironically, “The Club” would probably just improve the steering on this one, rather than making it theft-proof.
Appropriate, considering the steering wheel is an anti-theft deterrent.
This is for when you need a massive horn for those pesky pedestrians to get out of the way.
steal it…i dare you
How …. er….
how do you stop it? I mean, the brake handles live on the bars, which aren’t there any more…
Sadly, it cannot be seen from this angle but they also added the brake pedal on the other side.
Coaster brake.
hmm, not convinced on a bike of that type… on a bmx maybe, or an older style of small commuter…
Aww, shucks. Thanks for favoriting me again. You folks are too sweet.
Funny thing is that its a Mercedes steering wheel
That’s what they meant by “BMW Economy Class”, a Mercedes.
I want to ride that with a BMW seat also attached!
Could look better with a tiny sport-styled steering wheel, I guess.
the steering wheel doubles as a kids seat.
i think this picture was shoot in split, croatia
It also reminded me of Croatia. I think I saw the same bike, or a very similar one in Cres (Croatia), if I’m not mistaken.
I think we can all agree that EPA requirements are becoming ridiculous.
