  1. Geek says:

What a waste of Pepsi. They didn’t have a “Windows for Dummys” lying around that they could have used instead? They could drink those if they only had a Pizza Hutt glass.

  2. Barf face says:

from wat i can see, theres a load of stuff up there that could have been pulled down and supported it nicely. and then they could have drunk them.

  3. Gargomon says:

    Those darn heavy drinkers.

  4. Rafa says:

That’s literally a good product placement.

  5. PolishWizzard says:

Damn upstairs neighbor stepped through the floor again!

  6. Evan says:

Just need a bit of spray foam to hold those in place…

  7. monkeyslayer56 says:

a bit off topic… but didn’t i see this yesterday(on this site with commenting disabled or something…)… eventhough it says it was posted today and showed up on rss today?!?

  8. dono1 says:

Looks like they’ve finally put a ceiling on the high cost of soda.

  9. “I’m so jittery this morning.”

    “Caffeine high?”

“Yeah, it’s way up in the ceiling!”

  10. monkeyslayer56 says:

man my mom would probably want that taken down and coke put up… she wold then probably proceed to drink the Pepsi lol

    “Are you sure it’s safe?”

    “Sure, it’s got no sugar!”

  12. Archivo Geek says:

The photo is inverted 90 degrees.
What you see is a floor and a wall.

  13. Teebo says:

You just had to use round objects, huh? Again, like the above poster said, obsolete computer books would be better as they stack neatly. I can live without the “Mastering Redhat Linux 5.2″ book.

  14. kludgetron 3000 says:

Pepsi. Is there anything it can’t do? Oh yes, taste better than coke.

  15. Rich says:

Yeah, my COBOL book was great. It held up my monitor for years.

  16. JB says:

    Another KBR job in Iraq!

  17. TheAntiCat says:

Told you Pepsi was better than Coke.

  18. Bogus Exception says:

What I can’t figure is why they would leave the soda in?!

Why not drink it, then fill the bottles with water!?

    Doh!
    :)

  19. TheAntiCat says:

Could you imagine the outrage if those Pepsi bottles were instead, bottles of top shelf booze? Alcohol abuse I tell you!

  20. aL says:

    @K2
they should bring those ads back. and use this picture.
you comment made this one 103% funnier :)

  21. TheAntiCat says:

    @Bogus Exception
If they broke the factory seal, the crushing weight of the ceiling would be too much! Good point though.

  22. Joe_Bob says:

“Step 1: Install Windows books and cases underneath, then wait for the patch…”

  23. cliper says:

hammer – check, nails – check, pepsi – check. uff…all this heavy thinking made me thirst. Honey grab me a coke please.

  24. Stoneshop says:

That won’t stop ceiling cat watching you.

  25. fragonman says:

    @Stoneshop

It looks like the person shook the bottles beforehand since they aren’t bending from the pressure.

  30. Babel says:

    very great idea^^

  31. one small step says:

Good thing they didn’t use Diet Pepsi. It never could have stood up to the challenge without the calories.

  32. minnow says:

    Pepsi Max anyone?

  33. Mahs says:

The ceiling fell in because the guy upstairs drinks too much pepsi – so this is fighting pepsi with pepsi

  34. teh pieman says:

it looks mor like a wall suport turned sideways

  35. not so super super man says:

Although the pepsi seems to be doing a hardy work.. that newspaper in the ceiling can’t be helping out.

  36. The Cat says:

Not just computer books. I’ve been using some Dragonball Z tapes to hold all sorts of things up. Just because I don’t like the show doesn’t mean I’ll let a gift go to waste!

  37. :)(: says:

thats about all Pepsi’s good for

    Archivo Geek :
The photo is inverted 90 degrees.
What you see is a floor and a wall.

    Wrong.
#1- The right-hand surface is not a floor. Nobody would lay a floor with pitted, rectangular tiles and grout lines that intersect one another. This is a cinder block wall, not a tile floor.
#2- The surface at the top is not a wall, it is an acoustical ceiling panel with a “popcorn” or “cottage-cheese” surface. Note how thin it is. It MIGHT be an acoustical ceiling but it is definitely not a wall.
#3- You can see a flat metal bracket screwed into the wall on the right that is used
to hang something, probably the angle bracket for the ceiling tile.

    Wrong.
#1- The right-hand surface is a floor. If it were a wall, gravity would cause the block of wood to fall. Instead, it is on the floor and is holding up the broken wall.
#2- Angular, rectangular floor tiles are quite common and those made of travertine usually have a pitted appearance, which is their main appeal.
#3- If the surface on the right were a wall, the shadow of the Pepsi bottle would have to be caused by a light that was high up on the ceiling.
#4- The position of the “top” Pepsi bottle would require some impossible balancing if this was a ceiling, but no big deal if it is a floor.
Sorry to say, but you are quite mistaken. This picture needs to be rotated to the right.

Best pun in the thread! dono1 must be having an off day or is all punned out at the moment. I have faith, though. I know she has nothing to do with the pun issue, but she’s really supportive.

  42. Badgirl says:

    dono, you feeling OK?

  43. notanengineer says:

now I know what I did wrong when I built additional IPE 120 bars into my carport… some coke would have done that too :-D

  48. thecatnamedsteve says:

  49. stuffandsuch says:

  54. XxSaulxX says:

  55. DIYKing says:

But why, that was a good one. They have comments like that on every post it was good of Dono to add them.

Or, instead of pretending to be smart, we could go “lol those people are holding up plaster with Pepsi bottles.”

And move on with our lives.

  57. Fuzzy says:

Aw, what a waste. They could have at least emptied them first. :|

  58. Z says:

    PEPSI POWER!

  59. Seb says:

Archive Geek (and dono1). It’s not rotated. Period (short version). The loose tile can’t be floating in the air by itself, that’s 100 times more odd than the bottles. Gravity. Really. And knowing quite a bit about architecture; the bottom part of the picture, if that was a wall the other way around, it would make NO SENSE. And propably wouldn’t get approved. ;) Cheerio, peace out

  60. Righter22 says:

MUST be a dorm room fix!!

  61. elizabeth says:

…Little did the Wilsons know that the Koolaid guy’s alter ego was hiding in the attic.
