As the pictogramm clearly shows, this isn’t made for midgets but for cyclists. Judging by the looks, I’d say it’s in Germany, probably Berlin. My guess: was fixed before sunrise.
Have to agree with Pat–my face probably mirrored that guy’s when I first saw this. Not sure whether to laugh or sigh. BTW, this is one cool site – reminds me of Red Green’s takes on duct tape.
That’s not tape on that kid’s arm, those are wristbands…probably from the bar…either denoting that he is/isn’t drinking age, or the wristbands let him get into the next bar for free.
Even drunk, this kid knows a fail when he sees one…
Once again, that ain’t no duct tape, not even remotely, and this shouldn’t be labeled as such. Looks to me like simple plastic ribbon tied around the pole and probably with no adhesive on it. (There’s a simple rule to recognizing duct tape, it’s like the force you know…)
Give me Mission Improbable any time, please. (Though given people, sometimes this feels a bit like Mission Probable instead.
its one thing to get hit by a car its another thing to be walking down the sidewalk and get hit by a hover round because they failed to pay attention to the lights that are duct taped to the pole
I think the guy’s face is probably the best part of the photo.
“How many accidents you think this caused?”
All of them.
Given the place (Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, Germany) and the recent events there
http://www.boingboing.net/2009/09/13/brutal-police-violen.html
there’s no doubt who did this.
Someone did a good job of taping his hand back on his arm.
I would say that an accident caused that…
Based on the orientation of the lights, it looks like it’s made for midgets only so it should not affect traffic too much!

Totally Looks Like the kid from the AT&T rollover minutes commercials.
None, its got hazard tape.
@JH
Yeah, it got hazard written all over it.
Looks like both of them are strapped for change.
The thing that made me laugh the most is the guy standing next to it XD

i wouldn’t feel obliged to obey this.
Thirty three.
Ya know, maybe the guy who knocked it off felt bad and tried to hang it back up himself, and all he had was Candycane-themed strapping tape?

that’s the same look i’d be giving that lousy kludge.
@Gary
Very nice…
ROFL the look on the guys face is just perfect.
Now THERE’S a fun way to play Red Light Green Light…
Clearly, this is a set up for spontaneous urban disco.
dude, the kid has the tape on his arm, he did it.
caught red and white handed.

When the light is red you stop.
But what do you do
When the light turns blue
With orange and lavender spots?”

…or gets covered in duct tape?

Quote from the dude.
“You think the cops will notice?”
