whats funny is that isnt an axle, its a lower control arm for the rear of a front wheel drive car. i just dont see why going to the junkyard and buying a $10 part wasnt the logical choice over the $10 crow bar, belts and zip ties

It’s a control arm But it looks like they did use another straight piece of metal (like a long pry bar)then the belt then the zip ties. On an older car you should be able to buy a used one for about $20 or so.

everyone notices the zip ties but did anyone realize that there is a belt looped around the axle under the zip ties? that cannot be safe.

mechanic yep we got er fixed only took an hour or so and some parts billy bob over there took a look at it and thought maybe it wouldnt take to long owner do you have a warrenty and what do i owe you mechanic thatel be $578.98 and yes we have what we call a tail light warrenty around here just as soon as i cant see the tail lights any more the warrenty is expired
