  1. Daniel says:

The final solution to the JW problem.

  2. Drewsky says:

Am pretty sure I saw the air conditioner back at mile-marker 31. I doubt it’s worth retrieving at this point though.

  3. Andrew says:

needs a bit of trim work to make it look a bit nicer, but the concept is sound. I can see this as a cheap way to build a mobile home or camper.

  4. Gwen says:

    What no draps? Cheap.

  5. Dan says:

TBH if this was a last resort for someone that has been foreclosed on, I think they are far better off than most in that position.

  6. Sharp says:

    Andrew :
needs a bit of trim work to make it look a bit nicer, but the concept is sound. I can see this as a cheap way to build a mobile home or camper.

    Agreed.

Hopefully its well insulated, otherwise it may be a bit drafty at highway speeds… “Honey I’m home!!!!! Slow down for a sec!”

  7. jimbo says:

looks like he needs a retractable ramp to make it easier to get in and out!

    haha that would be great!

  8. Gunner says:

What I’m loving is the orange extension cord that runs from whatever that is in the bottom right corner and then goes OUTSIDE to run under the door. Seriously. All that fine, fine custom woodwork and they couldn’t find a way to run the cord inside the wall?

  9. jdoc says:

Did anybody notice the attractive extension cord tucked neatly from door to… well, hole next to the door? I find myself wondering what this could possibly be purposed for? And actually I disagree about the purpose of this creative vehicular attachment- I think it’s a mobile deer hunting stand.

  10. Paddy says:

So THIS is what’s on the other side of the door in the hall!!!

  11. Murb says:

If they had left the doors on to cover the front of the “house”, they wouldn’t get charged RV fees at the campground.

  12. Drewsky says:

Some T1-11 siding would finish this cabin off nicely but the stoop is far too shallow for my plastic chair and cooler.

  13. loopyloo says:

A mail-box on the step would make a nice home-y touch.

  14. JBD says:

A side ladder and you get a rooftop deck! Just had synthetic lawn carpeting and flamingos and it’s a premium condo on wheels!

  15. Daniel says:

    @Paddy

Hah! brilliant. No wonder they didn’t let us submit videos. It was rigged I tell you.

  16. ceo says:

It needs a window box with some nice zinnias in it or something.

  17. Wolfen says:

    D.I.Y. R.V!

  18. Slim says:

That doggie door looks like it was designed by Darwin himself.

  19. dono1 says:

    There goes the neighborhood. Literally.

  20. bigWag says:

its a portable hunting blind i love cause as long as u are of the road the dnr cant blame u for road hunting. needs a lift kit and some big tires for really getting to good hunting spots.

  21. Schop says:

    If this truck’s a-rockin’ don’t come a-knockin’

  22. sai cheez says:

can the door actually open outward? i would think it would get stuck on the overhang. mobile home win nonetheless.

  23. dono1 says:

“This wasn’t what I expected when she said I could drive her home.”

  24. Rothriel says:

Now THAT is a mobile home!

  25. PragmaticCynic says:

My first post here. To me the really interesting thing is that some where there is a house missing its front.

  26. Gargomon says:

Now the Door-to-Door salesman have to chase down the doors.

  27. BlowOutYourBlood says:

Wow, a mobile home that’s actually mobile. Kudos (I guess).

  28. Simon Graham says:

50 bucks theirs a kebab shop inside there.

  29. Demetrius says:

    jdoc :
Did anybody notice the attractive extension cord tucked neatly from door to… well, hole next to the door? I find myself wondering what this could possibly be purposed for?…

It’s obviously for a popcorn maker. I hope they thought to put a switch at the plug end! :)

  30. Daniel says:

    @Gargomon

    -ding dong
    -VROOOOM!

Is this a Tumbleweed? http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com It looks like since Jay made the big time his craftsmanship has really gone downhill…

  34. dono1 says:

    PragmaticCynic :
My first post here. To me the really interesting thing is that some where there is a house missing its front.

And when he gets back to the house, he can just drive through that square hole in the front and park… and nobody would be the wiser.
    (btw- welcome)

  35. Doomtrain says:

    @sai cheez

The door is recessed with no visible hinges; accordingly, it would open inward.

  36. dono1 says:

I think they should extend the mud flap and use it as a welcome mat.

  37. dono1 says:

Also, add burglar bars to the window. No need to become a victim of highway robbery.

  38. The Cat says:

@sai cheez: I’m guessing it opens inward. Which is silly for this design, but then, it’s a bit silly to begin with.

  39. daedreams says:

Clearly it’s bigger on the inside.

  40. I’m thinkin’ Burning Man, for some reason.

  41. CuddleBunny says:

Second … Burning Man … and it’s brilliant. Not as good as a dome, but cool.

  42. dmnyc says:

This would be a $2200/month studio apartment in Manhattan. But if you parked it in Brooklyn, maybe $1750.

  43. spoiler says:

wow, I actually know what this is….It’s a projection truck, used for outdoor movie nights and such. There is a projector inside, back it up, plug it in, open the window and yes…cinema.

I saw one of these on the Mall in DC a few weeks ago.

  44. rain oubliette says:

    FEMA stealing another trailer.

  45. crunchberrys mom says:

    @Drewsky

all it needs is a lift gate-instant porch!

  46. Spazzberry says:

at least he can make a clean getaway when the religious nuts come knocking at his door

  47. BajaJim says:

The door opens inward, you can tell by the jam molding around the outside. At least the window is mounted in the normal manner.

  48. davea0511 says:

hehehe … reminds me when I was a 23 and SUVs were the new thing. My dad told me I wasted my money on my when I could have simply opened up the area between the cab and a topper.

He was serious. I think this is his long lost brother.

  49. 1ch190 says:

I see nothing wrong with this image, this looks just like a genuine mobile DIY ice fishing shelter, door opens inwards most likely to highway transportation restrictions. This photo would not likely attract as great of attention if it was captured in season.

  50. Paddy says:

    Uh, where’s the license plate?

  51. PenGryphon2007 says:
