They need some more Great Stuff, some woodgrain vinyl shelf paper, and a rolling pin. Apply the Great Stuff, then apply the shelf paper onto the still soft and sticky foam. Use the rolling pin to make the surface approximately smooth.
The shelf paper is waterproof (at least briefly). The picture of wood makes a much classier repair than plain duct tape. Some will argue that using a second color of duct tape to make a racing stripe is classier than wood grain.
Are we really sure this is Great Stuff? I mean this could be sand, and a noble way bring Zen Gardening to the masses. At least my cat could appreciate it.
After applying every layer of Great Stuff you have to wait for it to dry. That must have taken forever to finish. When they started that was a late model car.
What did they take the roof off with? A tinopener? Clearly they messed up somewhere, as they had to tape the window back in place. Good to see some sense went into the project though.
It’s sturdy because it’s made out of iron. Waffle iron.
Is that Great Stuff?
Looks like Cheez Whiz to me.
Oh my god, you can see its brains!

is that uncooked ramen?
Never mind what it looks like on the inside. Imagine what it smells like.
This may actually be a fail rather than a fix – after applying the Great Stuff from the inside, it expanded and blew the roof off the car.
Snax Headroom.
@Daniel – “Never mind what it looks like on the inside. Imagine what it smells like.”
I was wondering the same thing…on a hot day? wooof… Def need one of those little cardboard pine tree air fresheners or 20.
@dono1
Way too funny!
More like Top Ramen.
Fall is coming! It’s apple custard!@glory
“East meets West: Introducing the mobile Zen garden.”
Why trade in a perfectly good car with the Cash for Clunkers program they had, when you can drive in an aerodynamic beaut like this!
For me i could look like the sky in the night, see stars.
I vote for the mobile Zen garden.
I’ve always wondered how to avoid that “starved cow” look in a convertible, and now I know; macaroni and cheese!
Don’t pick at it, it looks infected.
This tends to happen with peanut butter- it sticks to the roof of your…
It’s a classic, I tell ya!
I swear I thought that was bacon. Mmm, bacon car….
just wait a little bit… until photos of concrete-fixed cars get posted here…
We are all encouraged to fit loft insulation and reduce our carbon footprint but does this model even have aircon?
I think the addition of stylish ‘west virginia chrome’ all around the back window really takes it to the next level.
And the yellow stuff looks like cured gorilla glue to me.
You posh kids never seen a portable sand-pit then? An umbrella attatched a la previous pic for bad weather and you’re ready to go.
What did they take the roof off with? A tinopener? Clearly they messed up somewhere, as they had to tape the window back in place. Good to see some sense went into the project though.
Talk about a soft top.
hehehe … A whole lotta good common sense is when it kicks in AFTER you start turning your car into a convertible with a saws-all.
Note to self: think first, then act.
This is almost as ugly as the car with the garbage bag for a front clip, the one with the tartan dish-rag sticking out.
giant can-opener strikes again!
Hahahahaha!!!! That’s so funny! what’s gonna happen if it rains?!
Hmm..always wondered what they do with left over noodles from the Chinese restaurant.
The orange stuff on top could be filler or something, but I say it’s pumpkin pie filling
