Option #1- Give those elbows a quarter-turn upward, insert an 18″ length of pipe in each, add a couple of flags and voilà – instant embassy car.
Option #2- Drill holes in the top of the cross member and it’s a mobile flute.
Option #3- Aim the elbows forward, insert a four-foot pipe in each and you have the perfect vehicle for corralling those errant shopping carts everyone’s talking about these days.”

Copy & paste this:

With the green Jag and the yellow pipe, it looks like a John Deere! “Nothing runs like a Jag!”
PS: FIRST!
Paddy – Oh epic snap
Not cool unless it’s make of solid gold.
*made
I think if you were to make a solid gold bumper you could come up with a better shape than PVC pipe.
Wow, thats sad… epic fail…
What does the back bumper look like?
Oh, for pete’s sake…if you can afford a Jag, you can afford a real bumper. Lazy!
I would think if you have a solid gold bumper, you better have 24/7 security for your car or it will be gonzo.
It is sad, but: it’s really hard to find spare parts for older Jags, especially if you don’t live anywhere near a very large city (think London or New York). This may have been a temporary kludge used until the part came in. I’ve seen similar things done with Jags and ARs, especially pre-1980 models.
The only logical answer is that the Jag belongs to Homer D. Poe.
#8 – That’s like an XJ6, which are a dime a dozen, even in decent shape. There are lots of them on eBay for $3k-$5k.
i like it…. not for a jag, but for the average clunker where the stock bumper costs hundreds of dollars and provides no protection, just a target for hundreds of dollars…. i’ve seen folks hang a big chunk of wood for a bumper, but that’s heavy. this is cheap resilieng and light, and not much worse than the stock bumper.
plus you could fill it with red water or something then in a crash scare the hell out of the other guy by pretending that your car is bleeding to death.
…and that made me LOL even more than the picture.
Look like he’s driven into a London Underground train and the hand rail has lodged itself into the place of the bumper, but honestly I like it, however I can also see skateboarders taking advantage of it!

Dono – you are a freaking genius
At 40 MPH you get “Ode to Joy”
At 60 MPH you get Vivaldi’s Concerto in F Major and
At 80 MPH you get “Flight of the Bumblebee”
At 90 MPH you get “Police Siren”
Amen brother.
Dono shoots and…SCORES!
Option #4: Turn the elbows up a quarter turn, add two 8 foot lengths of pipe, two more elbows facing in, and another pipe connecting them, and you have a telegraph pole for the tram wires. Then it’s a Jag-wire!
@Badgirl
I think I luv you too!
Great minds my friend, great minds.
If this car is parked in front of “the rusty bumper” you’ll realize that the world is doomed…
Yes, plumbers make a crap-load of money.
This immediately reminded me of the grab-bar from Lego Batman, which I am currently playing.
I keep thinking it’s really an Erector Set frame with a Jag body plopped on top. We’ve all got what the fix was backwards.
Perhaps the rear bumper’s solid gold? This way you get protective camouflage, whilst maintaining the spoiler effect a massive heavy gold bumper has on the rear wheels.
@gzuckier
i laughed good
It’s probably just a skaters Jag. I think its a rail for grinding on, I’ve seen it on a few cars which have been ‘pimped’ on tv. The rail tends to be electronically controlled and can be extended out when you want to play skateboards – first one to get the Jaguar emblem in your eye wins!
It’s okay… because he drives a “Jaaaaagggg”
I thought I’d chime in since there seems to be a bit of confusion here…
The photo was taken in San Francisco, CA. The jag is green and the pipe appears gold because of the street lights… but it is, indeed, PVC pipe. Although, it would have been MUCH better if it WAS gold!
Pimp My Ride: U´r doin it wrong!
