This looks like the base to a styrofoam head, the kind you would see modeling wigs. So I suppose its use is fitting to have the car heading in the right direction.

Just push up is mostly 3th gear. To the left and up is 1st since there is no 5th gear you can’t get the stick to the right.. Just guessing by the way.. I’ve also got a 4 speed gearbox

What kind of car is it? Is the graphic wrong, or (s)he simply “push up” the shifter to put it to the 1st? (sry for my low-english:))
