Figures it’s only a four speed.
excellent! it’s mine!
i love the fact that he/she actually made the effort of coloring reverse in blue
i’d call it art!
It may be a “4 speed”, but when you really want to punch it, shift into “R” for “Race”.
The mere fact that they drew the line of reverse in blue shows actual thought put into it…… that’s kinda scary!
And the gas pedal is made of a folded-up big mac box!
I like that he started with a blue line from the R, then decided that black would be classier…
It must have one of those floating transmissions.
the owner of this car must have very big hands
Probably too big for those pistol-grip handles we had in our ’70′s musclecars stickshifters.
@Luetti
Either that or he only had a wide-tip Sharpie.
If ya can’t find it, grind it. They’ll make ‘em out of rubber next year.
I would say that I am not impressed as I have seen this way too many times already, but I will keep quiet as that probably says more about me than anything else.
Good one, Paddy.
Dono – correction – not Sharpie…..crayon
This is actually two fixes in one: a shifter knob AND a viewing porthole for his ice chest.
This must be a polystyreenactment of a stick shift.
Man, he oughta clean up in that car…
That’s a Texas Shiftmaster 5000 shifter knob! Everything’s bigger in Texas!
@Leonardo Cardoso de Medeiros
I commend you! Styrofoam was a such a good choice of materials. Why choose the strength and durability of wood, metal, or plastic over the light weight, thermal insulation and colorability of styrofoam? Bravo!
If you are driving a manual transmission and have to look at the knob to see what gear you are in, maybe you shouldn’t be driving?
Where is the fifth ?
oy vey!! this reminds me of the old spell
“Wer den Tod nicht scheut,
der fährt Goggo oder Lloyd!”
(“ke who isn’t afraid of death drives Goggo or Lloyd!”
looks like somethings been chewing on it
Obviously this individual smokes too much pot. Hence the short term memory loss and the need to have the shift pattern reference ready. They might be short sighted too.
Even my Yugo had 5 gears, I wonder what car this is. Soft to touch, Styrofoam is an excellent choice.
true, the only time you may want to look at it is when u put in the wrong gear and engine screams into the red line like it’s going to give birth
I see a used car salesman talking this car up in the background….”ain’t she a beauty”
Would you buy a used car from this man?
I can hear a used car salesman saying in the background “ain’t she a beauty!”
Looks like a mechanic in the car to me, maybe they stuck it on there so they could put thier food on there while they worked? And they merely put the numbers and stuff on so it would inconspicious when thier boss walked by?
In 2nd and 4th gear it can also be used as an extra seat. Good thing it’s not a 5 speed.
What kind of car is it? Is the graphic wrong, or (s)he simply “push up” the shifter to put it to the 1st? (sry for my low-english:))
Just push up is mostly 3th gear. To the left and up is 1st
since there is no 5th gear you can’t get the stick to the right.. Just guessing by the way.. I’ve also got a 4 speed gearbox
@Ernst
LOLOLOL
Finally a use for those rice cakes that keep showing up in our cupboard…
Wow no wonder there’s ‘bad driving’ tales of Americans in Aus and vice versa; you’ve got your gears on backwards.
This looks like the base to a styrofoam head, the kind you would see modeling wigs. So I suppose its use is fitting to have the car heading in the right direction.
So son when you really want a new car just switch the styrofoam around when moms driving it
Introducing the new and improved MegaShift (TM) for the elderly and hard-of-seeing!
Ican see how the is could be helpfull while recieving road head it can even double a a stool to sit one more
