  1. Bob S says:

Ha, you can’t fool us! What Page failed to mention is that while the rest of the submarine is out of view the gangplank can be clearly seen just behind the satellite dish.

  2. asdf says:

    not second

  3. clara says:

I don’t get that one. Dirty pool lightning ?

  4. gwalter says:

Don’t apologize to Grandpa, he’s probablyt he one who put it there!

  5. dono1 says:

    Mars Rover- The Early Years

  6. mort says:

behold our new interrogation technique…being placed in a underwater room and being forced to watch reality tv shows until you talk.

  7. Doh says:

I don’t get it…this is not a walker. There is a crossbar blocking where you would need to “walk” and some other bracket to hold the front of the dish. It is just a rather crappy mount sitting in a flooded courtyard.

  8. Dustin says:

If the grandpa comments was inspired by you thinking that’s a walker…you’re wrong.

There’s clearly cross-pieces on both sides. Walkers don’t have those.

  9. Angel says:

Looks like a busted-up pool ladder to me.

  10. dono1 says:

Well, if we’re going to get technical, that’s not a satellite dish either. It’s a wok, made by Astro Industries and available wherever fine cookware is sold.
Still, a walker is funnier than a pool ladder.

  11. grommet says:

It looks like a kiddie slide ladder.

  12. Dustin says:

A baby seal carrying a infant dressed as a clown is funnier still. However this isn’t a picture of that.

  13. Paddy says:

    Hmmmm…

  14. dono1 says:

“See- I can get the BBC. Oh, you meant the OTHER English Channel.”

  15. notanengineer says:

Well done, very well done. :-D The best fact about this redneck satellite dish is that this nerd who built it turned an offset dish into a prime-focus dish… :-P Pretty difficult to do it crappier… :-D

  16. dono1 says:

    That explains the washed-out picture.

  17. dono1 says:

    @Dustin
Maybe a better caption would be, “Streaming Video”

  18. Paddy says:

Pretty soon the market will be flooded with these contraptions…

  19. dono1 says:

Good one, Paddy. Thought you were sandbagging on us.

  20. Paddy says:

    Not a “dam” chance!

  21. Badgirl says:

Paddy and Dono, you two should pool your comments

  22. klcard says:

Looks like an Astro TV satellite set from Malaysia. It floods a lot there from Monsoon rains. Just one of the many jury rigs that is very common – and it is flooded over. What is strange is that the restaurant next door is still dry.

  23. afishyaknoto says:

It looks like a floating restaurant see the barrels underneath.

  24. Baelin says:

The stand it’s installed on is a baby high chair.

  25. keith says:

sure hope they sealed the coax connection!

  26. Alan says:

Proof that television is ninety five percent crap.

  27. qiddas says:

fyi, thats actually a baby seat. not a walker. its one of those cheap ‘made in china’ seats found in some restaurants all over asia. (ie, the background.)

    now you know! w00t!

p.s: im assuming this a ‘floating’ restaurant. note the pontoons under the wooden structure. definitely somewhere in malaysia. (astro is the sole sat. tv provider in malaysia.)

  28. cheesesteaks_and_madeleines says:

Isn’t there a risk of electrocution if the creek rises anymore? Then you have bigger worries than a sucky picture.

  29. Ramizan says:

it is a baby seat (without the plastic thingy for the baby to seat on) and as another commenter said, this is in malaysia. Astro is a local TV/entertainment company.

  30. Raven says:

Grandma doesn’t NEED to leave the couch now that we have satellite!

  31. Medlir says:

Stand actually looks like a stationary golf bag stand from the driving range.

  32. Elkian says:

No wonder Atlantis get such reception!

  33. just another person commenting on how much you FAILED says:

the priority to spy on people with your cameras?
