i alreaydy see that on tv. its not a spair tire its a setup to make the car spin on himself like crazy. i think they call it the vominator or something like this
That would only work if it was a front wheel drive car. If the car is rear wheel drive, then torque is only being applied to the other rear wheel, and it would certainly try to spin in circles.
The Golf/Rabbit is a front-wheel drive, and if that wheel rotates around a vertical axis, and it looks like it might, it will not act as a normal wheel.
Reminds me of the time I saw a car in a parking lot with a flat tire. Sadly, it was the spare emergency tire that comes with every new car. Not sure how the owner was going to get home that night.
Muffy :

yeah that reminds me of the time i had a flat tire, then i got out the spare after digging in the trunk to get to it and put it on the car. 100 feet down the road the spare went flat and the other people in the car decided that the other tire would be better than a flat spare so we went through that all over again. did i mention that the first rim had rusted to the axle so bad that it took a 300 pould guy to jump up and down on it to get it loose. yeah fun times
AMERICAN Ingenuity?!?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
thats such a hilarious concept
Super sonic planes were invented by the british, the american government asked to see British intel in return for thiers
britain revealed first and america did not return the favour. Yes americans are thieves
and also your F22 raptor is no match for british fighters
hence why your defence government wont let us have one to try out
americans dont have ingenuity
just what they steal of the british
STEVE!, for the record…

The first aircraft to transition into controlled supersonic level flight, was the American, Bell X-1, on 14 October 1947, piloted by Charles “Chuck” Yeager, reaching a speed of Mach 1.06 (807.2 mph).

The last British-designed fighter plane, was the “Harrier”, in the 1970′s. (Unless you count the Eurofighter Typhoon, which was jointly designed by Britain, Germany, Spain and Italy.)
British Ministry of Defence has committed over $2 billion dollars, as a “Tier 1″ development partner, to the American, Lockheed F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and has pledged to purchase 150 of the aircraft for both the RAF and Royal Navy.

Now please, shut your moronic limey gob.
@Aaa
Yes it is. Most auto shops use an arrangement like this when they move a car out onto the lot when they’re waiting for parts. Saves putting it all back together just to move the vehicle.
Yup the cost of time to put the broken assembly on and the time to manage said assembly of broken assembly to move to the lot, and back and take it off… heck. Just throw a caster on it! LOL.
I’ve seen these. We use them up here in Canada to simulate driving on icy roads. Some driver training schools use them so if you start to lose control of the car, you know what to do to regain it. PROTIP: It’s not the brake you want to use.

That’d only work if it was in the middle. Since it’s on a side, and the car is balanced, it acts like a normal wheel.

Golfdor the Vomininator!
Hehe, it’s like a peg-leg, but for a car. It’s a carrr!
Win!
hehehehe!!! Good one… peg leg/ carrrr :0)
It also appears that they fixed the passenger seat belt with a length of chain.
Speed bumps or pot holes anyone?
It really does hurt my feelings that everyone is making fun of my car!
They see me rollin’
They hatin’
there is no way that actually works… no brakes?
Your an idiot. The brake pedal is connected the thhe front brakes of a car. The hand brake a.k.a emergency brake is the back wheels
@v-dubb: what you just described, in fact, is NOT how brakes work.
If you truly believe this, you are the idiot.
The brake pedal brakes all wheels. The hand-brake also brakes two of the wheels but the end of the car effected can vary by manufacturer.
Ha, who’s the idiot now ?
The brake pedal works on all four wheels of every car built since around the 1930′s. Stick with what you know…

We had to drive in something like this in drivers ed. It’s to simulate the car sliding on ice or some such surface. rather fun, actually.
There is no way that wheel is strong enough to take all the stresses and strains of the road.

It’s called “American Ingenuity”.

VERY spare!
this is hilarious!
I loved it, unreal of course, but made me smile. very good, thank you.
Isn’t this just a “dolly” wheel or something like that which is used to move a damaged car around the shop?
HILARIOUS!!
@Aaa

@Ellie
seconded. laughed mfao.
Now someone needs to do a shopping cart wheel on a car.

Great demonstration of Cost Benefit Analysis, now only if we can convince our governments to use the same idea.
This car was fixed under the new GM warranty.
Actually, these are special wheels for drifting training. http://www.stan-mot.pl/poslizg.htm
Needs more low.

Epic win.
@Rob
Bip.
I hope it’s not a rear-wheel drive!
It lookz like sumffin mi dad would use on da raly cars when u he was drunk
Det er godt lavet
@Anders
funny..yes, impressive…no. if you want to impress me, put one on the front too, then let’s see you get to auto zone
Well, accidential switches happens. The shoppingcart looks even more stupid but at least, it stopped drifting to the left.
HAH xD… win
Soooooooo bizarre! Love it!
Can i do this with my bike?
is that legal?
Lol genius
Is this for real. Can’t see it going very far.
awww it reminds me of Nemo!!!
Oddly enough, this is street legal in Wyoming.
