    First!

  2. Rayn says:

Wow, great idea! On my Bug I taped heavy construction paper to angle the wind blowing through the broken tapedeck up to the windshield but this would’ve worked so much better!

  3. Hayter says:

    wow. now thats retarded.

  4. Amanda says:

Awesome. What a great idea. I might do this on my own car!

  5. yesha says:

great idea! I’m doing this come winter…

  6. nick says:

Much more adjustable than the factory vents, too.

  7. Doug miller says:

My First choice is to have YOU be able to see when you’re driving…

  8. al_timiter says:

This is why the newly-designed KITT car didn’t work.

  9. carlos says:

does this car not have windshield vents, and what could have caused them to malfunction?

  10. Dec says:

that’s not as bad as mine, I bought a car from the ’60s and the wind shield defroster was a 12 volt HAIR DRYER.

  11. sean says:

    yay carbon monoxide poisoning!

  12. heywood says:

    @sean

how? they’re just using the vents…

  13. Fred says:

    @sean
    How????? Duh!

  14. Jeff says:

I did something similar in an old Subaru. The control that’s supposed to switch defrost, vent, floor, etc. had broken and stuck in vent so I used sections of household vacuum hose and (of course) duct tape. Aimed one up to the windsheild, and another down to the floor. Hey, who wants to go to the Pick n’ Pull junkyard in the middle of winter?

  15. jayessell says:

With smaller hoses and a boot to fit over the air vent this would
make a good low-tech windsheild defroster to augment rather than
    replace the normal defrosting vent.

  16. D says:

    They look eerily… alive.

  17. kurse says:

my friends first car was a nissan pulsar and it didn’t have a window defroster so his dad did something similar. he cut up a plastic folder to redirect the air to the windshield. my friend was so embarrassed of that car.

  18. Robin says:

Great to se he found a new use for those! Luckally he have a thick skull because, the original function for the redneck airbag worked kinda slow in the crash.

  19. Chip says:

Fantastic! (Form, Fit?, and function) I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 that the mode button (directs the location of the air)Quit working. They want in excess of $1,100 to fix a known problem. I say it should be recalled as a safety item but doubt they ever will. I need to find some way to clip these ducts onto my vents and I’ll be in business!
